Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. The silly season officially begins here. We have no less than 40 games spanning the next 14 days taking in 4 GW’s in total. We can but recommend you stick close to both our Fixture Tracker and our on-site Countdown Timer to keep track of when each GW begins, but as a helpful little ditty to perhaps take a ‘snap of’, the deadlines are as follows (all times are GMT) –
GW18 Friday 21st December 7PM
GW19 Wednesday 26th December 11.30AM
GW20 Saturday 29th December 3PM
GW21 Tuesday 1st January 11.30AM
As for this GW we begin on Friday and end on Sunday with the majority of the games on Saturday for a pleasant change. Wolves and Liverpool kick us off this evening as the current league leaders look to put the pressure on their chasers by extending their overnight lead to 4 points over Man City.
Saturday begins with many an FPL manager sweating over the Arsenal line-up as they play host to an ever increasingly tight Burnley side. Six 3PM kick-offs follow with Bournemouth and Brighton both looking to regain some sort of form, Chelsea hoping to continue their own pursuit against Leicester, Huddersfield look to stop the new beer flowing against the Saints, Man City probably playing catch up against Palace, Newcastle hoping Mitro doesn’t come back to haunt them and West Ham look for 5 wins in a row for who knows how long as they host Watford.
Saturday evening could be intriguing as Cardiff look to take 3 points off fellow strugglers Man United.
Our only game on a barren Sunday is Everton vs Spurs. Harry Kane may not know it but this could be his final rehearsal for many FPL managers, especially if Kun shows up on Saturday.

Our Regulars League* for 2018/19 is now open and has a cash prize pool of £300 paid directly to the winners from the FF247 management team. The first 5 places are paid out in a tiered system.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

1- Sane/Alosno > Salah / 4.5 def
2- Pereyra or Richarlson > Martial
3- Wilson > Rashford
I like Wilson to Rashford personally, if in the know people think his minutes are pretty secure – United fixtures are very nice and I wouldn’t want to drop Richarlison/Pereyra personally.
Are they really secure when Lukaku is back?

lol cheers Bean! Tough one here, cuz I’ve finally got a green arrow and need to make a steady push just to get to 500k! Brutal season… Feel Salah is key but just don’t love my options to get him. And Pereyra’s making it really hard to sell him, keeps coming up with points! We’ll see. Happy holidays mate.

As mentioned earlier Son could be rotated in the next game with Lucas moura and lamela waiting in the wings plus he goes to the Asian cup in January.

Usually it’s Pogba. I like him and he will try to prove himself after the conflict with Jose but always have one in mind. He can’t help behaving childish and won’t be long before get’s in trouble.

Instead of Firminho maybe Rashford and the money you get from that could be spend on ummm Son? That move possible?
Son will likely be rested Boxing Day and is off to the Asia cup in the New Year.
Was thinking Son, but he is off to Asia and may not play Boxing Day.

Glad I wasted my wildcard earlier in the season or the next week or so would be torture.
Think I have a *relatively* simple decision to make this week, thoughts appreciated, 2FT and £1m itb.
a) Laporte -> one of Digne/TAA/VVD/Trippier/Alderweireld/Young.
Current thinking leans towards Trippier or Young (added attacking potential, ML differentials, and no Man City away game) but Digne/TAA give additional funds going forward.
b) Laporte + Westwood -> Wan Bissaka + Lingard, gives strong cover for Christmas rotation though benching could be a nightmare.
c) Something else?
