Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. And we are back. Again! Get used to the quick turnaround as it is exciting times right now. Presents to buy? Turkeys to prepare? Nah, screw that, it’s football time! Leicester and Palace kick off a bumper weekend that goes all the way through until Monday night this time. They get going at lunch-time on Saturday and are followed by five 3pm games. Saturday evening sees possibly the game of the week as Man City host Spurs in what is a truly mouth-watering clash.
Sunday has two games with Man united visiting Pardew and his West Brom team first, followed by Bournemouth hosting Liverpool. Or at least whichever version of Liverpool Klopp chooses to actually place on the field this time.
We continue through to Monday with Allardyce faced with a home game he is expected to win. Grinding out away draws are more his speciality so this one could be testing as Swansea roll up, legs akimbo.

What is everyone doing with Alli and Erik? I haven’t got them but have Spurs in a draft team.
Ignoring them until about 12:29am on NYD 😉
This is why I hate fantasy football, Sterling has been so bad today and now he outscores De Bruyne…
I got rid of him a few weeks ago lol
And now a handball ruins my 2 City clean sheets and a great day is now very very average…
Me Bean, I gotta disagree. Sterling has had a number of shots saved and played well. I’m surprised that with 2 goals he’s not on for any bonus points. KDB was easily the man of the match by a mile, but Sterlinbshould be in for bonus ahead of Sane and Gundogan IMO
To be honest, I think that De Bruyne was just so good today that I felt like all other City players were pretty poor (bar Gundogan) which may be a bit unfair. He would have got a lot of negative BPS for the big chances missed, looks like he missed out by only a couple.
Yeah, I’d give all 6 BPs to KDB if it was possible! He was unbeleivable, even after that stamp by Alli that would have broken a normal human’s ankle!
I agree Pancho KD was sensational he his by far the best player in premiership 😉
I don’t know what to do with my team…. Thought sane will score and play.. Kept him for last 3gw.. Decided to get in Silva again seeing his scoring streak… And what happens.. Right..!! Sane and Sterling both get good scores and Silva doesn’t even start.. If there would be a league for selecting the non scoring 11..I would give a tough fight in that for sure… How the hell can I be so consistent in selecting the wrong player over and over again…:/
Anyone else experiencing the similar??
It’s the problem you face chasing points with the City team…they’ll all have scoring periods and they’ll all be rested…sticking with the same players is the safest bet
Yea…trying to chase the mini league and trying to come up with some tricks…but till now all of them back fired…lol…!
Yeah you can’t do that. Sane was going to start so why change. They are all going to get points
Yea…i realised my mistake…sticking to the players is the best bet always…!!
42(-4) with Surman, Salah, DCL and Jones to play. Hope to see a Green arrow
I thk it’s time to offload Kun but who would Kun Richarlison & Simpson out for Roo Sterling & Ota or Val 😉
Early average estimates. Looks like about 27 so far.
And no bonus for Sterling despite 2 goals. That must be a first / another fix.
My 44 ain’t looking to bad at the minute, another GW where I’ve had 10 players again, need to sort my bench out ASAP
Sterling got at least -9 BPS for big chances misses, other than his 2 goals he contributed very little. Cant imagine it has happened before though, no.
You shouldn’t be punished for attempting a positive contribution to the game.
They were 2 horrendous misses though
Smashing the ball over the bar with an open goal in front of you is positive for nobody, except entertaining people who already hate you 😉
The whole BPS system is a bit dodgy though in my opinion.
Sterling missed a few huge sitters. Kinda didn’t deserve bonus points IMO, but scoring two and getting nowt must be a first!
Seeing these averages makes me pretty happy on 41 with Salah, Firmino, DLC & Fabianski to go.
Yeah he missed a lot of easy chances which has cost him I guess
I still don’t actually rate the guy, but at the same time I think he’s the closest thing to a must have player at the moment!
Banjo, I agree entirely but I dislike him and I cannot bring myself to do it.
Mr Bean, you need a colder heart to win at FPL
Yeah I don’t have him I have Sane. Though I’m thinking of bringing Sterling and Pogba in for Hazard and RLC. Leaves me with Morata though but Sterling looks good could have had a few more goals today
Init,
There are just some players I refuse to own because they shouldn’t be good.
Sterling and Gross are the two so far this year. Avoiding one has worked out a lot better than the other.
Let’s punish Sterling for missing or let’s give him a big thumbs up for scoring two :thumb up:
I’m not his biggest fan, because of how he left Liverpool, but I’ll happily take his points every week
And why wouldn’t you?
My problem is I have 3 City at the moment (Walker needs to go but I have other issues to sort) and don’t want to bring him in now as he must need a rest soon, played like 6 straight?
He didn’t get bps for two reasons: one has been documented and relates to his big misses. The other, is that KDB, Gundogan and Sane also did very well. Sane, for example, not only got two assists but also barely missed a pass or missed anything really. He’s reaching form and I am a happy patient owner. Also, Sterling’s 37 bps would have given him at least 2 bps in any of the other games today so it’s not that he had a bad total, it´s just that other member of his team were better.
