Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. And we are back. Again! Get used to the quick turnaround as it is exciting times right now. Presents to buy? Turkeys to prepare? Nah, screw that, it’s football time! Leicester and Palace kick off a bumper weekend that goes all the way through until Monday night this time. They get going at lunch-time on Saturday and are followed by five 3pm games. Saturday evening sees possibly the game of the week as Man City host Spurs in what is a truly mouth-watering clash.

Sunday has two games with Man united visiting Pardew and his West Brom team first, followed by Bournemouth hosting Liverpool. Or at least whichever version of Liverpool Klopp chooses to actually place on the field this time.

We continue through to Monday with Allardyce faced with a home game he is expected to win. Grinding out away draws are more his speciality so this one could be testing as Swansea roll up, legs akimbo.

  1. Good evening. Would anybody like to talk me out of making the following moves? Using my 2 FTs:

    Cork —> KDB
    Morata —> Quarner

The main thing putting me off is the uncertainty in Quarner’s gametime. Cork’s nailed. I have Davies too…

City are just scoring so much more than Chelsea now!

    • I dont thing Cork gives you much anyway so work away

    • Could you afford Crouch instead of Quaner?? More likely to keep his place and get goals I think.

      • Cheers, lads, surprised to see this getting backing! Crouch is a very interesting shout, Matt, and I can afford the giant with 0.1m to spare too.

        • Yeah I love Crouchy and he is getting a lot of game time in recent weeks so he’s bound to chip in with the odd goal or assist. Will you actually play him much?

        • I’ve just done it! Thanks for your help. He’ll make my starting XI in place of Surman for this weekend. The fixtures make that one an easy call.

        • Yeah I think Bournemouth have another bad day.

  2. Evening folks, what do you guys think about Richarlison and GroS to Pogba and Lanzini for a hit? I’ve for 4 mil itb and 1 ft this is what my team looks like going into next weekend.

    • Matt, nice call on Pogba, but I can actually see it backfiring this weekend! Brighton vs Watford seems quite unpredictable and could see a lot of goals — you’ve their key midfielders and, indeed, players — so I’d be tempted to stick until next gameweek. Pogba faces Burnley, who’ve only conceded 12 like United, a 0-0 on the cards.

      • Cheers James I was thinking that but I think Pogba (who plays Leicester btw) could be a great differential but I do see what you mean. I even tipped Richardlison this week in Capos it’s just I can’t see who else to sell. Maybe just do Groß to Pogba? Or do you really think I should leave it.

        • My bad! Next gameweek’s GW19 and I somehow had the GW20 fixtures up instead.

Well, with 4.0m sat in the bank, then I can back selling Gross for Pogba now.

        • You had me worried and made me double check I hadn’t just done a capo article on the wrong bloody fixtures hahah smile

That’s what I was thinking especially with Brighton not having scored in 3 game weeks.

        • Groß actually hasn’t done anything since a goal in GW12

    • Is nobody worried about a 2 game ban for Lanzini?

      • I did consider that but nobody has really made a big fuss about it. Will know more tomorrow I suppose.

    • If Silva is passed fit, id try my luck with Mee out for a WH defender. Burnley has Spurs, United and Pool in next 4.

      Also, Rooney ahead of Kenny.

  3. Evening folks! Hazard, Groß to Sterling, Pogba for -4? Unfortunately, .1 short of Coutinho and ward to sterling and jones.

    Pope (Elliott)
    Ota Christensen Kabasele (Duffy Ward)
    Hazard Salah Coutinho Groß (RLC)
    Kane Morata DCL

    • Not sure! Don’t think I’d be selling Hazard if I had him. But yeah I’d want Sterling if I didn’t have him. Then again he’s way overdue a rest at some point, which he will surely get.

      • Cheers init. I hear your re: dropping hazard considering his fixtures and pt potential. Could do coutinho to sterling but not sure about that either. What do you think?

        • I’m not sure about that one either! Although it does feel like you need some Man City cover and you do have Salah already.

  4. Dear all,
    Pls give advise ..
    Pope / Elliot
    Trippier/Otamendi/Christensen/Klavan/Mbemba
    Salah/Hazard/Surman/Moting/Stephens
    Morata/Kane/Vardy

    2FT … 0.1IB

  5. hi
who gonna play instead of duffy next match ?

  6. Morning all.
What would u do with this lot.?
    Looks a hard week
Got 2ft 2.3 in the bank.

    • Ogbonna of Westham for Kenny? Against Newcastle at home and then Bournemouth away

Or i would just play Mariappa and bench kenny

    • I’d start Mee over Kenny or Mariappa over both Mee and Kenny. The mid and front line is ok. Looks good otherwise.
