It’s a whirlwind GW this one as we start today with no less than 9 games on Wednesday and finish tomorrow with just the one outlier. We then get Friday off before we begin again on Saturday. Fulham and Wolves open Boxing Day for us at 12.30pm before we see 12 teams contest 6 games at 3pm and there are some big hitters featured in there with Man City, Liverpool and Spurs all in action. Man United play too.

Brighton and Arsenal play at tea-time at 5.15pm before Watford host Chelsea in the evening game at 7.30pm.

Saints vs West Ham finishes us off on Thursday at 7.45pm.

The games in full…

Took Perreya out for Martial. Can someone console me please?

    Rosco says:

Well my ‘no salah’ moves have proved to be a huge failure! A rank drop from 80k to 230k In just a few weeks! I’ll reverse the moves tonight, lose all city and take my mistake on my hairy chin! I fully expect City to return to form probably this weekend such is my luck but I’m sick of watching Salah punish me! No more I say!

      Kralin says:

Whenever I commit a bêtise like that – and I do it often – I just make a quick I’m-in-denial type transfer, see the player back in my squad and pretend he never left it.

      • Rosco says:

Yeah I should have some it straight after his hatrick but I buried my head in the sand! To be fair few foreseen the City capitulation and I thought I’d be quids in with Sane and Sterling. Some times these things happen, no point in bitching about it and just have to hope I make better decisions in the second half of the season! Still aiming to beat last season’s OR but I have a mountain to climb at the minute! Hazard is helping me out at present and lessening the pain a smidge!

        • Kralin says:

Your first two seasons’ ranks are a damn sight better than mine at that stage. 8k in your first season is staggeringly good.

Laporte to Digne or sit and wait for Martial news?

How’s Alonso playing in this one? Anyone watching the game? I’m tempted to ditch him – probably should have done so a long time ago

      Kralin says:

Not watching it, just vaguely following on The Guardian; like you my desire to keep Alonso is starting to drift away. However the next three games look good on paper, though rotten form suggests he may be out on his arse before the final whistle has blown on the last of these. Just need to decide who to, when, and what else it can enable in my team.

      Mr Bean says:

He’s not found himself in any great attacking positions today. Think his effect is slightly limited with no man in the box to cross to so he’s always playing the ball back in crossing positions.

I know his fixtures are great but his form is shocking so I rage transferred him out at halftime, along with finally offloading Sterling.

      SAFs_hairdryer says:

Nothing either of you said has discussed me from getting rid.

How does Alonso & Richarlison > Digne & Hazard sound?

Same fixtures but hopefully more points to be had

      • SAFs_hairdryer says:

        *disuaded

      • Kralin says:

Whether you get rid of him or not is entirely your choice.

Move sounds ok in the sense Hazard could be a very good source of points in the next few weeks. Whether or not you’ll end up with similar, more or less points than had you just held you’ll probably never know. I’d do it with free transfers not hits.

      Smash says:

He’s not been great. Maybe a few runs into the box. Formation change this season has restricted him a lot. I think the first three weeks were a bit of a freak where he was going forward too much against the managers wishes. I got rid on wildcard this week

    • 70.5

SAF, I’ve been talking about Alonso for ages but nobody had paid any attention. Having that sort of expensive deadwood makes no sense.Quite a few from the die hard gang(living in the old times) will disagree but it’s time to face reality.

      • Kralin says:

It would be great if you could recommend to managers which players you think will outscore Alonso in the next few weeks, rather than making risible comments about people owning him.

People would pay more attention if you actually made a case for a replacement player.

Was thinking of haz to son.. might need a rethink now. Could drop Alonso and add the fund’s to Richarlison?

Is there a way I can get Salah in and keep hazard and kane?
Getting battered in my mini league by others who have Salah !
