Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 19. WAKEY, WAKEY! Christmas is over. It’s FPL time again! You’ve had your day off and as much as we hope you enjoyed your turkey and wine it’s business time again. We’ve even posted this an hour earlier than normal as a big fat warning that GW19 starts today at 11.30am.
It’s a whirlwind GW this one as we start today with no less than 9 games on Wednesday and finish tomorrow with just the one outlier. We then get Friday off before we begin again on Saturday. Fulham and Wolves open Boxing Day for us at 12.30pm before we see 12 teams contest 6 games at 3pm and there are some big hitters featured in there with Man City, Liverpool and Spurs all in action. Man United play too.
Brighton and Arsenal play at tea-time at 5.15pm before Watford host Chelsea in the evening game at 7.30pm.
Saints vs West Ham finishes us off on Thursday at 7.45pm.

Unfortunately not! I was thinking of shaw but united still aren’t showing defensive promise.
I’d steer away from Lovren. Tough fixtures for next 2 GWs and Gomez is due back mid Jan so Lovren could drop out.
Holebas looks a good option.
Hi all. Hope your gameweeks are going well.
I held off on dropping Sterling for Hazard last night. It does not feel knee-jerky, but I can see Mahrez getting a run out on 30th and I just get the sense that Sane’s back to back 90s might see him make way. As such, I’m considering keeping both of them to avoid the pain of taking the wrong one out! Crystal Palace have been pretty tight at home anyway and City should bounce back soon, right!?
Lacazette worries me so I’m considering switching him for Vardy and re-assessing on United and Chelsea assets next week. Gutted about Pogba. I wanted him more than any United player but Rashford for Chica made more sense at the time.

Pretty sure i’m doing Sterling to Hazard.City’s goals away from home isn’t great,poor form and then Liverpool the tightest defence in the league.Hazard bang on form and some great fixtures coming up.Seems a no brainer to be honest but i here what you are saying.
I’m in the same predicament as you on Sterling. To top it off for me, I’ve already lost 0.1m on Sterling and he’s set to drop further tonight and Hazard will rise tonight. Can’t help but feeling City will rout Southampton but their new coach seems to be knowing what he’s doing. Tough choice but I’d probably do the Hazard move.
As for Laca, lose him. Emery seems to be going Wenger on him. Surprisingly he isn’t playing full games and was subbed last night at 1-1 ffs.
I like the Vardy call, he’s been doing well in the tough fixtures and so you can’t help but think he’ll do even better on the easier ones. I ditched Laca last gameweek for Rashford, but thankfully getting Hazard justified the hit. The threat of Pep going full Pep for the Southampton game was the final justification I needed in my head to do Sterling to Pogba last night. Whilst the guy I’ve just sold may do well against Southampton’s leaky defence, it’s still Pogba at home to a leaky Bournemouth back line and then Sterling quite famously now does nothing against Liverpool and so I still feel justified in my move! Enough about me, anyway, go ahead with the Laca to Vardy move!
Thanks all. I really do want Hazard, I just don’t know if it is worth the hit and Lacazette seems like a bigger problem at the moment. Didn’t realise Sterling was going to (at least) double drop though. That would be frustrating.

Would you not want Salah on a wildcard.
Herrera is an expensive bench player at 5 million. Who is your other GK? I’d go with one of Augero or Kane and look to get Salah in.
How about Bederak who is think is sub 4m. Herrera to a cheapie who plays. I’d have Auba over Aguero at the moment. Actually I’d have Salah and that prob means u can’t have either.
I think you’re mostly doing the right thing with your WC, Macro – picking up players who are under-priced and either in form or who have good track records and are returning from injury. You should avoid those whose prices have already reached their peak. For that reason I think you’re right not to go for Salah, but for the same reason you should probably also avoid Doherty, Herrera, Anderson and and Kane and possibly Richarlison. Instead I’d suggest TAA, KDB, Pereyra and (say) Wilson and maybe Eriksen.
How does this lot look for the next gameweek?
I’m also hoping for a Southampton win tonight but for Anderson and Ings to blank! I’m 13 points ahead in the cup but he has Fab and Anderson left! Someone else in a h2h league has them both and Ings!

Are you on a wildcard? If so, what about Wilson to Kamara to fund Sane to Hazard?
You could also (in case of an active WC) dozngrade your second keeper to getan extra 0.5-0.6…
PS: And are you sure about your capitain?
Not on a WC Vinci, although I do wish I was! I’m actually ok with my captain pick (at present). I’m not confident in Arsenal’s defence and think Salah could grab a couple!
Looks sound to me, igy – I reckon you’ll be making your way up the rankings over the coming weeks if you stick to that course

It’s just tempting Igy. Many like me did the mistake to remove him but the guy is too consistent. Arsenal and City are not that scary as they look, both teams concede.

You’ll need to lose Auba or Harry for Salah, or a series of hits over a few weeks in midfield.
You are right. I can take a hit and move Auba and Bernardo for Salah and think for a striker at 7.0.

Yeah Smash. That was a very silly experiment I did which went horribly wrong. I was just looking at you team and that must be one of the most successful wild cards around. Well done for keeping him. And you are still in the Cup 😉

Nah I’ll keep it, taking a hit and bringing him back today now that we know there is no ban coming! Need to them start and try to repair the damage he’s caused since I ditched him (for -8) 3 GWs back … a 170k rank drop!! Onwards and upwards!
I think you are right Rosco. My season can’t get worse and I might go for “make or break”. I can try 3-5-2 for a while if I take -8.
Sometimes you have to go backwards to move forwards. The week I took him out I’d have risen to 23k, it doesn’t bare thinking about where I would have went if I’d simply kept him and what other moves I’d have made! Could have went either way obviously, I’ll never know! Your moves look good, who’s leaving if you do that?
That would be Auba/Billing/Laporte. I have 1.5 ITB which helps a bit. If I stay put for this round I might be able to do something with 2 FT for New Years Day.
You could but then Auba has Fulham and you look at Salah v City and May be swayed to wait.. and could miss more points… haha it’s a tricky season this one!
I usually plan week to week with one eye on the next 4-5 GWs, I had a free day at work and created a grand plan that included losing salah and followed it blindly, I think my lesson is never plan too far ahead and go back to my more patient nature!!
That it so true Rosco. It’s good to plan ahead but this season has been strange with so many players do great for a while then disappear for ages and vice versa. We saw what happened with Auba and Kane, so many got fed up of them and got rid, only for them to score a brace each. They managed a goal each again yesterday but who can guaranty they won’t blank for the next few. It’s a funny old game.
