We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th!
We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we eventually conclude a truly long double game-week, over 7 days after it began, on the following Saturday evening at 8pm with Aston Villa v Newcastle. If Villa can be bothered to turn up. 15 or so games in total which means that 11 teams get to play twice. In theory.

I’d recommend a camel for that terrain.
And a fire support base.

I pay attention to short game week announcements.
I pay attention to double game week announcements.
I use my free transfer each week to have as many double game week players as possible.
I play my free hit appropriately for 61 points.
I research incoming players fixtures / form etc.
I try try try every game week and every time I feel I am getting on a bit of a roll the fantasy football gods kick me in the buster gonads.
Leeds double game week cancelled.
Zouma no show.
Fofana subbed off injured on 50 odd minutes and robbed of 4 clean sheet points.
I give up with this bloody game.

That FH score was about 30 above the average.
You just have to ride it Jamie. Maybe don’t get so up on the ups and the downs won’t feel so low. Don’t get me wrong, I used to be there too. But you have to get past it. It’s not a case of not caring, it’s more just taking it on the chin and moving on. Shit happens, etc.

Jokes apart. You’ve been a very patient player as far as I know. As mentioned by all above, you’ll get through this. And yes, this season is hands down relentless.
Hey Jamie. We still have games till Saturday. Thinks could very well look up mid-week when some in your team hit it big. Patience will be key this gw. It will come good.

This season is a nightmare as well, two guys ahead of me in my ML didn’t plan as well for the BHW and the DGW
Both played very differently and are ahead of me by 30+ points. Though they’ve use most of their chips by now so I’ve a few tricks left up the sleeve. With how the season I going I’m actually not expecting those tricks to work haha

However take week in context. Firstly it has only just begun, secondly it is one week in what is a random season. Your patience over 38 game-weeks will pay off.
As Init says, relax, enjoy the good weeks, but not too much and then chill on the bad weeks.
You have patience. I have none. You will be ok.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my comment with kind works of encouragement.
This proves to me (again) what makes this forum the wonderful form that it is.
The game week has only just started and most of my decent players or players with decent fixtures have still to play.
A City clean sheet, Kane and Son running amok and Captain Salah could all contribute to a decent score.
And yes Otieno I was fully aware of the yellow card – lol.
GP, yes I know what the main thing of the 20-21 season was all about. Rangers will be stopping 10IAR. Stevie G will be a Rangers legend for the rest of time.

Jamie,after the shit day i had at work yesterday i found myself not giving a flying f*uck about the football or Fpl when i got home,barely checking the scores or my phone and feeling all the better for it.I got more of a buzz sitting watching Shaun the Sheep with the boy lol.I guess what i’m saying is sometimes its good to detach yourself from it all and find something else.

Sometimes all you can do is accept its a strange one. I know exactly how you feel.
I had Johnson and Meslier this gw. Had 3 Leeds/ 1 Southampton. Picked Johnson over Areola on a 51/49 call Friday night. Leeds blanked etc and on -8 (Johnson being a -4).
Lots of points to be played for yet I guess

We all have those moments every now and then, as the lads said, don’t worry too much, especially in the beginning of the GW. Patience is a great trait to have in FPL cause it’s not a sprint, it’s a bloody marathon!
And I know, believe me (GW7 OR 3M, currently around 550k – still not where I want to be but I am getting closer).

Inspired call by the few who suggested Antonio over Vardy for me. Fingers crossed Antonio goes on to be involved in another goal atleast while Vardy blanks (sorry everyone who got him in).
Over the last GW and current one, I’ve managed to cut the gap of 31 pts to my ML leader and hve even overtaken him by 9 pts, mostly thanks to my FH and inspired calls like above from this wonderful community. :drinks:
Have even gone big with TC Salah, hope it comes off this year unlike the last couple of years. :big_boss:

And fingers crossed about the TC. Salah should get the minutes – let’s hope he converts a few of the chances. (Though frankly a few ropey penalty decisions will be fine for me.)

I read last night that Vardy had 7 shots – the most he’s ever had in a PL game without scoring. And now he’s got a hip injury. Well-dodged :good: .
Serves perfectly well if he doesn’t start the next game. Lei game last night had me stressed. Wanted it to finish 0-0 for mc Carthy and Justin. Happy for Jamie’s rotten display in front of goal.
