We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th!
We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we eventually conclude a truly long double game-week, over 7 days after it began, on the following Saturday evening at 8pm with Aston Villa v Newcastle. If Villa can be bothered to turn up. 15 or so games in total which means that 11 teams get to play twice. In theory.

Right, Zouma & Wilson need to go. What’s the best replacement option?
1) A 5.7 defender and save the rest for DCL
2) Antonio and 7.0 on a defender
3) Get Vardy by downgrading Soucek to Anguissa, and Zouma to Struijk – and then play Holding & Smith Rowe a lot more.

I would be tempted to get Chilwell as Chelsea fixtures are great over the next few GWs.
Not really sure who I would want in place of Wilson. I personally would be tempted to downgrade and then look to play 3-5-2. Otherwise Antonio is the obvious option

I could get Chilwell & Maddison (for Soucek) by getting in Brewster. That decision basically comes down to Chilwell & Maddison vs Holding & Vardy.

Apart from Zouma, there is Cancelo to worry about. If he does just a cameo tomorrow again he has to go too.

I think Vardy has the greater ceiling for points over the next 4 or 5 GWs.

I’m not worried at all about Cancelo. I think he’s been one of City’s best players, and I think Pep loves him too. Pretty sure he was simply rested recently.

I suspect a lot of people will be swapping Bamford for Antonio

Not too sure yet. Bamford has Newcastle next and with their new attacking style there could be a few goals for Leeds. Same story if Newcastle play defensively too
