Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.

Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.

Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

  1. One more question gang. Eriksen and Cairney to Dilva and Pedro? Or Eriksen and Luiz to Dilva and Alonso?

    • The latter leaves with me 0.6 itb

      • What do you guys think? I want to beat the price rises. Thanks all

    • I’d do the first one.

      • Cheers EBC that’s what I’m learning towards. Both are a rotation risk but I should be ok

  2. Here is my currect team

    • Hi guys..so far got 70 point with salah, zaha and roberto to go..

Any idea which player i need to change for GW3. Got 2FT and 0 in bank

      Thanks

    • Eriksen to Mkhi

Then upgrade Cairney, Pedro/Fraser are options. Or B Silva if you wait until next week and downgrade Shaw.

      • Mkhi is on my list base on the arsenal fixtures..i thinks he could get more point onwards.
On the other hand, king to wilson is quite temptation..anyway thanks all..its give me some idea for gw3.

  3. I thought I’d done ok his week until I saw my ML leaders score….

    • Flippin’ ‘eck! He’s Billy Big Balls if he saw all the speculation about Aguero not starting but still thought: “Ah, let’s get the triple captain on him anyway, you never know”

    • Some people are born lucky. Just gives me more incentive to shoot him down!

  4. Cheers Brookyboy and Keethan for your advice on the previous page. What do you think to Doherty and Sane to Pedro and Mendy? Leaves £1.4m in the bank.

Looks like Sane is going down, while Pedro and Mandy are going up, so it’d be good to make the changes tonight. Even with him going down in price tonight, I’ll give King one more chance and then he’s definitely out if he does nothing against Everton. Zanka is meant to be back for next week, according to FPL at least, and he’s more likely to score when injured compared to Doherty against Man City anyway (famous last words).

    • I’m (at the moment) in the keep-King- for- another- week camp as well. I do hope he repays this trust.

Pedro – as long as you’re sure he’s nailed – (I have no idea at the moment) looks a good shout. Mendy, absolutely.

    • Seem like good moves to me if Pedro carries on as he is

      • Cheers guys. Think I’ll pull the trigger – it’s the best I can do without taking hits when player form is taken into account.

        • May not be a bad idea to hang on until after tomorrow, at the earliest. One of your players tomorrow may limp off. Also may be worth thinking if you want to be City-lite.

        • Ah, done it now, haha! Will have Aguero and Mendy, City wise, so I’m happy with two Cityzens and two Liverpool as well. As you say, it is risky to do it early just on price rises alone, but fingers crossed nothing untoward does happen!

    • Looks good Swirly and Mendy is a must now really.

    • You’re set swirly.

  5. Did anyone watch the City game? Is Bilva likely to see his points return drop with his new position or just a case of being unlucky this time around?

    • I was furtively listening when I got the opportunity. In betwen the prattle I gathered that he wasn’t getting in the box much. Loads of corners. I think he created a half chance or two.

But someone who actually saw the game would have a better idea.

    • He could have had a few goals! Just unlucky. He’s looking really silently deadly atm

      • He’s definitely staying in my team. Two games, two starts. Who could want more from a City player?

        • Agreed!
There was one goal chance that I was sure was in the net but the replay showed he didn’t get a good foot on it and the tender was able to make an easy save as a result

  6. Im on my arse have some Aussie relatives staying with us forgot all about the football haveing a barbie tomorrow Aussie style tomorrow wheather permitting Kun saved my backside

    Hope all have done well

    • S S S, not Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling. Its Sangria Sunday Silvers. laugh

    • 72 is an excellent score, bud – plus you’ve still got three left to play tomorrow! Happy days!

    • Tell em to pop down to the ‘Bottle-oh’ to get a slab (ie; go down to the Off licence to get a carton of beers!) – that will gain you a bit of peace & quiet for about half an hour! And to pick up a few ‘mystery bags’ from the butcher’s (ie. sausages!) – don’t forget to congratulate them by saying ‘You beaut, mate!’ Have all but lost my Strine (as well as Barbie etiquette), but am an ex boy from the bush, living on the continent. If I can be of any help translating, no wuckers (ie. No wucking furries!) mate! By the way, I spent all last year with Aguero in my team (as well as Raheem & Ota!), often with the captain’s armband on, but this year have opted for the Big 3 from Liverpool – am waiting for it to pay ‘big time’, but have to admit that I gave a strangled ‘gulp’ while listening to the results on BBC World in my car this arvo! 40 points for the captaincy! But I’m sticking strong to my Pool-based strategy. No panic! I may well live to regret it later on in the season! Cheerio pal! smile

      • All that can be done in Birkdale, Silvers! Butcher, off-licence and a few nice bars for you to sit in laugh

    • Enjoy Silvers. Wish I could forget about the Man Utd performance today
