Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.

Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.

Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

    Hi all,
Glad to have kept the armband on Kun after all the speculation yesterday, a respectable 62 points with PVA, Salah, Zaha and Firmino to go, not too shabby hopefully. Took a hit last night to avoid price changes so does my team look set for next week barring injuries, nothing ITB…
    Cheers in advance smile

Hope you’ve all scored well so far. Hoping my Pool trio can propel me up the ranks later!

    Raziel says:

Hey guys, who do I replace? King, Daniels or B. Silva? And with whom with? Already did Sanchez to Mane Friday. Or was it early Saturday before the games.

      Raziel says:

Or Peltier, I mean. Not Daniels. Peltier needs to go first if any defender.

      • RedKev says:

I’m keeping faith in Bilva for the time being! Presume nothing itb so cant upgrade King? The downgrade candidates are probably Wilson who’s a bit sideways or Ings who everyone is liking atm. Depends what you wanna do with Peltier …if just cheap bench fodder Bennet of Wolves seems the only other £4 that’s playing but he could lose out with Dendonker coming in, just go for someone with low ownership so they don’t lose you money! If wanted someone to rotate the Ings would allow up to £5.5 and with that you could get either Luiz, Monreal, Periera or Shaw/Bailly!?

      Dutch-Delight says:

All your other defenders Have a good run of fixtures so no immediate need to get rid off Peltier.

      • Raziel says:

Another Dutchie? Aah thanks, was thinking the same. So either King or ummm B.Silva/Stephens. I have 1 ft left.

        • Dutch-Delight says:

          Yes another Dutchie!
I would definitely keep hold of B. Silva
Stephens and Peltier will be permanent bench warmers who might come in with a point or 2 so for now no need to waste a transfer on them.
Which leaves Daniels and King who still have a rather good run of fixtures coming up again not really a need to transfer either.
I do understand the disappointment in King as I have him as well. I am going to give King 1 more game keep hold of my transfer and if he under delivers again he will be out

Depends how you want to play it this early in the season. If you do not want unnecessary hits, then this team is good to go for GW 3. If you’re okay with a hit, you could consider getting Pedro/Wilson instead of B.Silva/King! Both these moves will save you some funds to upgrade Peltier later.

Last night FFFix predicted that Aguero and Mendy (who I have) and Alonso (who I bought) would go up. And they were right. They predicted that Davies and King would go down. And they were wrong. So I was wondering whether FFFix are good at predicting rises but not so good at predicting falls. Here is the answer…

    PorcelainBiscuit says:

68 pts so far this GW with Salah, Robertson, Zaha & Wan-Bissaka to play.

Took -8 point hit to get Mendy, Alonso, Pedro & Wilson in last night to avoid price change. Current lineup looks as attached. Do you guys reckon I should avoid the point hits this early in the season and go for the WC instead? With WC, I can further make a few changes. Although I am pretty happy with this squad for the next few GWs.

Please suggest what would be ideal in this scenario? Thanks!

      Dutch-Delight says:

Your current team is not in need of a wildcard, or more changes for the next rounds. Stick with the -8

      • PorcelainBiscuit says:

Cheers…I also do not want to waste my WC this early. -8 will not hurt me a lot in my mini-league considering I am currently 2nd placed and have 4 more players to play tonight!

I suppose sticking with -8 is worth it for now!

        • Yeah Porcelain.

I would stick with the damage that’s done and leave the Wildcard. But a -8 to bring in players just because their price may change before the end of the gameweek seems kneejerk to me.

Not that I don’t love Alonso and Mendy but Pedro is far from assured to play each week and Wilson will inevitably dry up and pass his points round the rest of the team, to King probably.
