Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.

Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.

Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

Hi all. 62 points this week with 3 pool and Zaha to play. Pretty happy with my team but open to suggestions. I was contemplating changing Ederson for a 4.5 and using the million to upgrade Luiz to Mendy.

Hi guys. What do you all think for next week. Is it stupid to downgrade Ederson to a 4.5 and upgrade Luiz to Mendy.

      AllanBrallan says:

No, that seems to be a pretty good move…

And you already have a playing second goalie to rotate with…

      Dutch-Delight says:

You have a good team and why would you change Luiz?
Chelsea has had their 2 most difficult games and going to have a run of 4 great fixtures.
On top of that Ederson has 7 “easy” games in the next 8.
I understand you want Mendy but the potential points from Luiz+Ederson will be bigger than that of Mendy+Cheap keeper. I haven’t even mentioned the headache you will have by guessing which of your 2 cheap keepers to play every week

      • Offalymartin says:

Yeah that’s good advice mate. I might leave it as is and do nothing to drastic.

        • Dutch-Delight says:

I have agreed with myself that this year I will look at my team and see if any of my players are under performing for what ever reason and then look for a replacement, instead of looking at the players I do not have in my team and think “I really want him” and then go and change my entire team, take hits, play my wildcard, get players that i really do not want in my team just to accommodate that 1 player.
I have lasted 2 game weeks so far smile

        • Offalymartin says:

That makes perfect sense mate. Last season I took way to many hits. Going to try taking alot less this season. I’ve had a decent start with 98 and 62 so far this week with 4 to play so fingers crossed.

        • Dutch-Delight says:

Decent? 160 Points with 4 to play?
The current average over the 2 rounds so far is 95! you scored 65 point more than the average that is a jaw dropping amazing start.

        • Offalymartin says:

I won’t get carried away mate as I’m known for some jaw droppingly low scores throughout the season also ha.

Had a pretty good run with 84 points gw1 and some ok points gw2. Then Aguero shows up and ruins it for everyone! 😉

Need Salah to fix Aguero’s mess tonight.

Hi all, very confused as to what to do next gameweek. have 2ft and 0.5 itb

Was thinking of doing eriksen–> hazard, using my extra 0.5 then either king–> wilson/ings.. thoughts?
Or should i downgrade eriksen to mkhi or 7/8mil’er and use money to upgrade def (alonso etc..)

      Dutch-Delight says:

Spurs have a few tough games coming up.
If Hazard starts i think he will be the Chelsea player to have.
I have King too and I am going to give him one more week before I decide if he is staying or going.

      • Macca_ says:

yeah, think eriksen is gonna be offloaded!
think my patience has run out with king lol, harsh but…!

        • Dutch-Delight says:

King is not a player that has to carry our FPL teams, and for 6.5 he can score a blank week or 2 without it causing me too much pain.
Players like Erikson, with a price tag of 9.5 have to score good points from the start to repay us the money we have invested for their services.
I think Bournemouth’s fixtures are slightly better than those of Southampton. Wilson would be my choice over Ings.

      RedKev says:

I’d be looking at doing something with Cairney myself …probably Eriksen/Cairney to 2 of Mkhi/Bilva/Pedro/Maddison/Moura etc

    Shrizzine says:

Glad to see a lot of big scores around here! Not so much me though. Bah. I just burned through 2FTs:

Lacazette to Ings. Tomkins to Alonso.

Anything else to note for the week(s)?

    Thanks.
