Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.

Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.

Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

  1. Afternoon all.
    These move sound ok?
    King to Ings
    Joys to Micky t?

    • That sounds good. Did not think of that. Think I might do that myself

      • Cheers smash. My do it early

        • King is due to drop I think. Might do that after today’s game I think. Jota has just dropped so think we can hold off on Mkhi for a few days hopefully

        • I would wait as long as possible.
Loads of people got KDB in early and had to transfer him out again without him actually playing a single minute due to injury.
Or at least save 1 of your transfers for any nasty surprises that might happen this week

    • Sounds like a good plan to me

    • I’ve already done similar but went for Jimenez over Ings.

I also did Davies to Alonso to make it a -4, but I’ll blame that one on the booze 😉

  2. Afternoon all,

A random question…is there stats available to find out a list of most captained player in the past few seasons?

    • Inittowinit posts this every week. You will find it on page one or two on live gw articles

      • Thanks Smash!

Are we able to see the player that was most captained by Gameweek in the past seasons?

        • The one I put up weekly is just that really, a weekly summary.

          https://fpldiscovery.wordpress.com/

Can’t put my hand on it now but I’m pretty sure Mito has used a site which has summary info on it. I’ve asked him for you, he’ll link it later unless I’m mistaken and he hasn’t!

        • @HazK84, As far as a site just having them listed in a way that you can look at percentages in one page, I am unaware of. If you were looking for stats on who people captained a certain week, maybe that would be possible with a search on twitter. But listed like that, I know of no one who does it., having said that, I have never went looking for that.

    • Why is this important/interesting? Shrek had a spell as top dog, and he’s already scored 3 and 2 assists this season,,, in Washington!

    • Thanks all for the info.

Found this website which lists KPIs by GW…found this very interesting!

      • Thanks for the reference @inittowinit!

  3. what are people’s thoughts on Eriksen. tempted to give him anoyjrt gw or 2 based on his consistent fpl points over the last few seasons. keep or get rid?

    • Think he will come good. He gets similar amount of points each season. He’s even come close to returns in last two games

    • Erikson is a difficult one.
9.5M is a lot of money to be waiting to come good for too long but with a home game against Fulham coming up I would advise to give it another nail biting 90 minutes

      • I stand corrected.
His next match is away to United.
        I would ship him out.

      • DD – home v Fulham was this past Saturday 😉 ManU, Watford & Pool in his next 3. Capable of scoring anytime, but I agree 9.5 is a lot to wait around for results.

      • That’s got 3-1 Spurs written all over it, can’t see Erik getting anything though. I’d fancy Kane, Trippier and Moura for that one smile

  4. “Newcastle United’s on-loan midfielder Kenedy will not serve a ban for kicking out at Cardiff’s Victor Camarasa in their Premier League draw on Saturday.”

  5. Hey gang, was thinking Peltier > Stankovic with 1 FT this week. Should I be addressing Pedro or Lucas Moura first though? (1 ft, 0.4 itb) Cheers.

    • I’d save the transfer here

      • Cheers Smash. Also semi-concerned about not having Richarlson. Think I’ve missed the boat on his points or what?

    • I would be tempted to go Moura to Richarlison This will also free up a bit of money to upgrade Peltier at a later point in time.
I feel Richarlison might be the new Michu or is that just me hoping?

    • Why do you need to address Pedro and Moura?

      • I do not think it was a case of addressing Pedro and Moura but more the concern of not having Richarlison in the team.

        • Ok fair enough. I didn’t read the post that way. Yeah not having Richarlison (30% ownership) could be scary but Pedro (5%) and Moura (2%) both scored and are great differentials.

      • Ps. I’d save the transfer. There’s nothing wrong with that team. 2FTs next week will prove useful.

    • what’s wrong with Pedro? I transfered him in this wek. Am I missing something?

  6. 1m itb, 2ft.

Ideally I want D Silva & Mkhi in for Eriksen & Ralls (which would leave me £0.1m spare). Then Mendy in for Robertson in GW4 (but I would be £0.1m short).

    What to do?

    • I’d probably just shelve the Dilva ambitions. Keep Robertson, replace Tark instead and then see what’s left to deal with Ralls.

      • Hmm – Liverpool fixtures really don’t inspire me beyond GW3. Not defensively anyway.

Man City and Arsenal on the other hand look too good to pass up on

    • Bilva (who may be slightly more nailed short term) instead of Dilva?
