Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20. We hope that you are showing signs of life again after a few hectic days of festivities. GW19 came and went with haste and we’ve even had a day off to take stock and consider our transfers. It’s a lazy approach into GW20 too with a late 2pm deadline, the only downside being that it is on a Saturday so your pesky ML rivals may actually remember to check their teams this week.

Much like its predecessor this one is squeezed into two days and we begin with five 3pm games but outside of Spurs featuring, and perhaps Richarlison, and maybe the odd budget defender, there may be sporadic fantasy interest, certainly from any big hitters anyway. There should be more in the early evening game as Liverpool host Arsenal at 5.30pm.

Sunday sees Chelsea visit Palace for starters at 12pm, Burnley vs West Ham and Saints vs Man City provide the mains at 2.15pm before the dessert at 4.15pm in the shape of Man United vs Bournemouth.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

  1. Get rid of Auba or Kane for Salah?

    • Might as well leave it another week

      • Yeh thought might do it after Man City game smash

        • Yeah this is the one week that not having him and having Auba and Kane should go in your favour. After that yeah you probably need him back

  2. Martial or Anderson going forward? Anderson is rising tonight

    • Anderson.Cheaper,less of a rotation risk,less injury prone and in great form.

      • If you already have Martial then yeah hang onto him.I’d be more inclined to lose Richarlison.

        • Yeah that’s too much of a price jump for me. I do have two free transfers

    • As you’ve got Martial you should stick with him, Smash

      • Yeah I might not have anything better to do though and have two free transfers. Ideally I want to see how they get on tomorrow it’s a bit annoying

        • Better to wait and see tomorrow. The 0.1m on a marginal decision isn’t worth the risk that you may need your FTs to deal with something major that could happen tomorrow like an injury to KDB, Hazard or Anderson.

      • Kamara deserves whatever punishment Ranieri sees fit. I say this as someone who brought him in.
        That said, apparently (I did not see the match), Fulham looked a lot better when he came on.

        Who to bench next week is going to be a real headache – or it will be for me, with W-B, Doherty and even Billing looking quite promising. They’re all urging me, in their own persuasive ways, to play them.

        So I may bench Salah, Kane and Pogba just to do that.

        I think I’ll wait and see what the damage is after tomorrow before even considering next week. Part of me thinks I could do worse than just leave my team alone this week… just as soon as I take Kamara out!! laugh

        • I always set my side up fairly smartish for the following week, just in case there’s a zombie apocalypse, snap general election or I win heavily at Monopoly.

          Actually this week next week is very soon indeed.

        • Funnily enough Kralin, I always set my captain to whoever I’d want it to be for the rest of the season should I get hit by a bus tomorrow or something similarly unfortunate.

          I’d like to think that Cookie would continue my team to the tape, in some sort of tribute, but I also suspect that he may simply wish it good luck every week instead, in irony, which would be equally fitting smile

    Not a bad day so far, 47 from 7, Mitro captain just about worked.

    Early question for next gameweeks plans as one variation may need the transfers to be made tonight (not ideal I know). All opinions appreciated.

    1FT, £0.1m itb:

    a) This week: Mitrovic -> Jiminez
    Next week plan: Either Lingard ->
    Siggurdson or Kolasinac -> TAA

    b) This week: Mitrovic -> Jiminez and
    Lingard -> Felipe Anderson (Anderson
    going up in price tonight means I have
    to do it now)
    Next week plan: Hold transfer

    c) This week: Mitrovic -> Ings
    Next week plan: Kola -> TAA and
    Lingard -> FAnderson or Siggy
    or
    Kola -> Boly and Lingard -> Pogba

    First one is the only one which would require all moves tonight, trying to decide how ‘essential’ Anderson is.

      • I’d play Mitrovic ahead of Richarlison/Robertson. He’s a sure shot penalty taker now anyways

        • Mitrovic is a player I’ve been meaning to get rid of – bit like Alonso – but there’s always been another fire to extinguish (looks like it’ll be the Chic for me this GW). And he’s not been bad, old Mitrovic, comes up with the goods enough times to make me forget why on earth I brought him in.

        • He would have been on 13 points had that selfish tu*d not interfered. Fulham face Arsenal and Burnley, both of which are leaking goals now. Also, he shall be the sole attacker for Fulham now as Kamara mostly shall be benched I guess

        • Yes I’m perfectly happy with him for now. Jiminez in for the Chic, probably, unless moving in for Ings opens up other avenues within the team. Will cogitate after tomorrow.

          Anyhow about to watch Spurs’ weirdo meltdown on MOTD. Wasn’t expecting that at all.

        • Jimminez is decent player, playing for a decent team under a decent manager. He’d be involved in majority of the goals Wolves would score i believe.

    Ok, so I want to bring in Salah
    Should I bring him in before the City game, or wait till after.
    I have funds to do it now, or after.
    But means ditching Sterling, and either Azpi->Shaw, or Robertson->TAA
    Or I ditch Kane->Aguero/Auba etc.
    I know prices are going up tonight, but that wont affect things.
    I have 2FT, and 1.1 ITB

          I have spare money to account for the change in price.
          Its a case of whether I do before the City game, or after.

    • I’d probably do it anyway hammers if you have already decided it. City game wouldn’t matter even if Sterling begs a brace tomorrow

      • It’s a tough one, taking into account it’s a cup weekend.
        do I just tweak with one transfer for midweek, then bring Salah in.
