Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20. Did you manage to complete our 4 TV games in a day challenge on Boxing Day? If you lived to tell the tale then well done and you can almost do it all over again today. Go on, we dare you…
It’s yet another GW spread over two days, only this time there are a few less crammed in on the first day as Saturday sees just 7 games beginning with Brighton and Bournemouth getting us started at lunchtime, followed by Newcastle v Everton, Southampton v Palace and Watford v Villa all at 3pm. There are then a couple of games in the 5.30pm slot with West Ham hosting Leicester and Spurs going to Norwich. Burnley and Man Utd see Saturday out in the evening fixture.
Sunday begins at 2pm with a London derby as Chelsea go to Arsenal, followed at 4.30pm with Wolves hosting Liverpool and the GW ends with Man City welcoming Sheffield United at 6pm.
Thankfully we all then get a bit of a breather as GW21 doesn’t begin until Wednesday.
The games in full…

I’m on 9 points with Lundstram, Salah (C) , Mane , KDB and Abraham to go. This season can really do one
Same players and captain left except Abraham.
Smash, you and Zed did the WC at the same time and from what I can see both of you are not happy after two GWs. Maybe because of this time of the season and the heavy schedule. Things might get better later on.
It just makes me wonder if that strategy of a late WC is the best.
My team has been a joke all season. Hardly anything has worked it’s not just the wildcard. Looks good on paper but not the points to match
I am sure it will improve with time, especially once everything is settle after this crazy festive period. I used mine ih GW 4 and had great few rounds reaching the highs of 5 K, after that everything has been downhill. Sometime there is a big dose of luck as well.
Same here, also having my worst season ever. Our FPL histories are actually very similar. On bad years I just try to nurse it home to a respectable 100k or so.
Similar here, currently on 5pt +1pt to come of the bench! Same players plus TAA to go, will just be happy if most of them play.
Moyes just in time for Fabianski to be fit..
Dan, looking at the weird lineups and scores, making Tammy a captain for this round could turn out to be the best thing you’ve done in a while :wink2:
haha shhhhhh!!!
Arsenal v Chelsea
Saka at left back? hmm
It’s a sad state of affairs when you are happy that a player starts and at least the hope of another 2pts.
What to do here? 2FT 0.1ITB. Would ideally like an additional attacker Jimenez/Ings/Martial and go 3 at the back, but would need to downgrade somewhere?
You have the three most expensive pool players. In order to upgrade your third striker you will need to decide who from Salah and Mane should stay and downgrade one to a mid range player, the likes of Grealish, Mount, Traore etc.
TAA starts next season at 8 mil.
I think 7.5m
Did Alonso start 7 or 7.5 couple of years ago?
Think he was 7.5m one season, don’t think a defender has ever started at 8.0m
Wouldn’t be stocked a min of 7.5m and in 65%, of teams
******Chronic indecision warning*******A confused post from a confused AJW – heavy ramble warning **********************
Hey there everybody –
I know it’s a bit early to be thinking about GW 21, which is a full 2.5 days away, but having internal (that’s in my mind!) worries. Like many, have had an ordinary festive season and have dropped in rankings, but am planning to stick to my guns, which is to say, that I got in Richarlison for a game stint while Pool were away, and sold Mané, getting Salah back in, in his place (by conveniently selling Son + Kanté for Salah + Cantwell), now I’m forging ahead with plans to:
– sell Richarlison + another for KDB + another (Was gonna be Rashford for Jimi, but he’s MU’s attacking mainstay apparently, so maybe it’s better to keep him!)
Does anyone think that it should be
a) Richo + Tammy + Soy > KDB + Jimi + a cheaper DEF (like Kelly, Webster/Dunk (BHU), Stephens (SOU), Cathcart/Kabasele (WAT) )?
b) Richo + Soy > KDB + a cheaper DEF
c) Richo + Tammy > KDB + a cheaper striker (DCL/Ings)?
d) Another option that I may have missed?
I think that BHU and WAT are playing into some form, and it seems that DCL is heading an improved Everton attack. Ings is certainly on a roll, but Jimi is ultra-regular and has been described as ‘silky smooth’ recently! I really dunno!!!!
Has the young Chelsea attack come to a standstill? We’ll see after this afternoon’s match!
I don’t want to go begging for advice, and I thank you for persisting with my blurb till this point! :help: !!!
Oh forking shirt – forgot to attach the team!
