Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
Two days without any football?! It almost feels like we are stuck in some sort of Christmas version of Groundhog Day at the moment. If you missed it then worry not as between GW20 beginning and GW23 ending we now have just 14 days with games on 11 of those and no more than a day to separate any given Gameweek. That’s the theory anyway, whether Covid (or Aston Vila) say otherwise is a different matter.
GW20 itself begins on Tuesday with a 6pm double header as Palace welcome West Ham for a good old fashioned London derby and at the same time Steve Bruce will probably continue to lose his marbles at the hands of the slightly more wily Marcelo Bielsa. Arsenal’s (latest) renaissance will be severely tested by the Saints at 8.15pm, whilst at the same time Big Sam will be looking forward to seeing if Man City can do it on a cold Tuesday night at … they will!
Wednesday begins at 6pm with a duet of mid-table clashes which will be tightly contested but ultimately mean nothing as Burnley host Villa and Wolves go to Chelsea. 7.30pm sees a relegation 6-pointer between Brighton and Fulham.
The title race continues at 8.15pm as the outsiders Everton & Leicester clash, before Manchester United easily see off Sheffield United.
GW20 concludes in some fashion, as Spurs face a true test of their title credentials against a recently inadequate Liverpool.

I did wonder whether someone might actually think I was in any way slating Smash. We all know he’s a fountain of knowledge and massively respected by all, including myself. I just found it amusing. Smash, I truly hope you didn’t read this in the same way as Init.
Not having a go at you Banjo, I find it funny either way, just that I’d find it less so if people starting doing that to me and screen-shotting it!
Saving grace is that he didn’t mention buying Foden I suppose :rofl:

Well I apologise if it came across as disrespectful. It absolutely wasn’t intended. I’m also feeling a tad tetchy. Not only did I think Foden was the more likely goalscorer, but I also sold Soucek this afternoon :dash:
Smash deserves a medal – medals – for his tireless efforts and consistently helpful advice. He wrote a short reply to someone the other day giving an utterly superb (and accurate, based on the fact he watches a lot of games) breakdown of City players, where they play and their chances of rotation, etc. It was by some way the most helpful piece of writing I came across before this GW.
Which I also read. And remembered well. But for some reason still felt Foden was the better pick. Idiot.
I feel your pain Banjo. I winced earlier as Soucek cackled at me from my bench – deep down on my bench, too (I saw the score and thought, Antonio must have scored one of those).
Hopefully Foden will knock one in before the game is done. And next GW comes round soon enough. All going well all will level itself out. And hopefully no major damage done in your ML.
