Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
Two days without any football?! It almost feels like we are stuck in some sort of Christmas version of Groundhog Day at the moment. If you missed it then worry not as between GW20 beginning and GW23 ending we now have just 14 days with games on 11 of those and no more than a day to separate any given Gameweek. That’s the theory anyway, whether Covid (or Aston Vila) say otherwise is a different matter.
GW20 itself begins on Tuesday with a 6pm double header as Palace welcome West Ham for a good old fashioned London derby and at the same time Steve Bruce will probably continue to lose his marbles at the hands of the slightly more wily Marcelo Bielsa. Arsenal’s (latest) renaissance will be severely tested by the Saints at 8.15pm, whilst at the same time Big Sam will be looking forward to seeing if Man City can do it on a cold Tuesday night at … they will!
Wednesday begins at 6pm with a duet of mid-table clashes which will be tightly contested but ultimately mean nothing as Burnley host Villa and Wolves go to Chelsea. 7.30pm sees a relegation 6-pointer between Brighton and Fulham.
The title race continues at 8.15pm as the outsiders Everton & Leicester clash, before Manchester United easily see off Sheffield United.
GW20 concludes in some fashion, as Spurs face a true test of their title credentials against a recently inadequate Liverpool.
The games in full…

Does anyone know much about Tuchel’s style of play? Any of the Chelsea lot likely to thrive under him? I’m tempted to take a punt on a someone purely for the honeymoon period, but I don’t know a great deal about Tuchel, other than what he’s won with PSG.
Donno much about him but I’ll bet on Werner.
Precisely who I’m most tempted by, especially as I’m sat on a Wilson problem. As GP points out though, the sensible thing is to leave alone until we know more.
Smacks totally of a ‘wait and see’.
Better options throughout the league right now surely.
There was a puff piece on the Beeb website, making out that we should expect the second coming. One to monitor with all this KdB loose change burning holes in our pockets.
In short he’s an attack minded coach.
In depth…. read this, written by a 21yr old but it’s actually quite good, if you can speed read through the unnecessary waffle.

@innit very nice piece ….thank you
Bloody hell Init, that’s amazing :worthy:
I better go and buy Ziyech, Chilwell & Havertz now :laugh2:
Bandwagon alert
I reckon he’ll get the Germans motivated – Werner, Havertz and Rüdiger will be pleased!
The nights of the fives… Saka, Soucek, Gündo, Raphinha… And none of ‘em on my field
One can learn much from your phlegmatic attitude, OddDane. And to remember that the GW has barely begun.
There’s that word again. Thanks. I think. Just need myself one of them dictionaries, hold on.
City clean sheet gone
Scared the life out of me
Are you in a parallel reality? What score did you make it – and while you’re at it, can you give a couple of goals to Antonio please?
Can I have a Soucek blank and a Foden brace please?
You need to sing ‘Dannyg,123, give those Gundo points to me’
Phew…worth the 4ph to bring in Dias and Gundo.
52 pts (incl bonus) from 7 not to be sniffed at. How you guys doing so far?
37 from 4 players, plus 15 on the bench with Soucek
Then most of yours will be racking up the points later.
Bees, who knows?
Don’t mind if one of Kane, Son or Salah gets a flu for one game and take the 15 points sitting on the bench.
46 from 6 with bonus. Soucek first on bench but down I will get his points
Fingers crossed a low scorer does not play Mr M
I’m right with you MrM. 44 from 6 and very little chance of Soucek coming off the bench
Liv v Tot postponed would do the job
35 from 7. Cap Bruno, Salah, Son and Kane to go.
53 (incl bonus) from 5…with Bruno (C), Martinez, Chilwell, Son, Maddison and Kane to go.
62 from 6.
Oh! Great! 28 from 5 players.
Off to a great start of the week! I hope you guys are doing well too!
I’d never had stronger feeling about a player than what I had with Cancelo this GW. I almost captained the lad but didn’t have the cojones and just put the VC on him. Still pretty happy with the return :bravo:
Cancelo’s done well for me too :drinks: . But I could quite happily give Bamford and Alioski a bit of a talking to (just one point from them collectively!)! Bielsa taking them both off before the hour mark is very inconsiderate of him.
And I didn’t bring in Gundogan :fool: .
:drinks:
Leeds assets are so hot and cold that, and I sooooo don’t have the patience for this. Unsurprisingly, I completely ditched them.
I think this was my best ever use of transfers, as I did KDB & Holding to Gundo & Cancelo.
The injury list next week is worth watching. Quite a few of the Leeds players seemed to be hobbling at the end of that game.
Martinelli was coming on in the 70th min, but then sat back down due to ESR’s injury, and ending up not being subbed in.
Welcome Soucek’s 15pointer from the bench❤️❤️
I can confirm I’ve never been more happy to see Joe Willock on the pitch in the 90min
:good: nice one!
Super!
Great stuff! That awesome feeling when your super sub comes on! :excited:  :yahoo:  :locomotive:
cheers everyone, went through the emotions of absolute regret to sheer happiness in a couple of hours hahaha
