Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20. How you feeling? Bit hungover from the booze? Stuffed from the food? Hands aching from making toys or building Lego? Or just bored of the mrs or in-laws? Whatever your state of mind, you’re back among friends. We understand. And better still GW20 is live! It’s an early(ish) start as Spurs host Southampton at Wembley in the lunchtime kick off. Six 3pm matches follow – Bournemouth host West Ham, Brighton go to Chelsea, Huddersfield welcome Stoke, it’s the bus convention at Old Trafford as United clash with Burnley, Leicester go to Watford and its Pardew vs Big Sam as West Brom ‘entertain’ Everton at the Hawthorns.
There’s some evening entertainment too as Liverpool host Swansea.
We then have 24 hours or so to recover before Newcastle do what they can to stop the Man City juggernaut. And then another 24 hour break before the GW finishes with a London derby as Palace host Arsenal.

Yeah that is shocking. Probably the same 44k will transfer him out again. I was planning on keeping him but not sure

Probably just sticking him on the bench. Mulling over a TC for 22 on him. Which I’m almost certain I will do.
I thought that too Init. Look at the form. Hard to ignore this chance I think.
Form and fixtures make it difficult not to use TC on him. Swansea and West Ham it don’t get much better than that
Yeah, exactly this. Have (not so) fond memories of having to use in on Andy Carroll once as it was basically the last DGW left and he was the only in form (ish) player left.

i’m with you guys on the TC chip for 22 on him.. imagine another two hattircks 😛
Just gonna weather this one with him on the bench I think.. and no TC in 22.. but almost certainly regular captain.
Why no on the TC HA?
maybe this sounds strange Init.. But I feel like you can ride out almost anything mid-season.. say I drop points in gw 22, i’ve still got 16 weeks to figure out how to make them up.. However, if I can hang around the top of my ML or whatever ranking I’m shooting for until 34 or 35, the TC becomes that much more dangerous.. I actually played my TC on the last week of the season last year (on Sanchez I believe) and won my ML that day. Let’s just say it seems more valuable to me later in the season when nobody has time to answer. I hope that makes some sense.
Yeah of course it does. I’m slightly uncomfortable using it early too, as I always keep it back for that reason – a kind of safety net. It can however then become a bit of a lottery as to who gets the DGW’s. That’s assuming a strategy of using it for a DGW which I always do. You seem comfortable not doing so, so less of an issue that one. Just think this one with his form and those opponents may be too good to pass up.

This game can be so frustrating sometimes. Sold firmino for morata 3 weeks ago after the blank v Everton and West Brom.

Just very annoying that he’s done nothing. Bringing him in for morata to free up sokme cash for some spurs mids the following week. whenever I’ve had him.

Happy I took a hit for him to get him back. Even though it was for Kun. Hope Kun doesn’t start tomorrow. Hmm, anyway. In hindsight, I think I did well with my transfers. I shipped out Kane for Kun last gameweek and I capped Kun. I wouldn’t have capped Kane that gameweek so a cappo for Kun did best. Now I brought in Kane for Kun and capped Kane, I think that also was the right move. Hehe. I would have never capped Kun even if he does score 3 tomorrow. ^^
Some other players though, like Hazard, they are killing me.
Raz, I went the exact same route with Kun & Kane over the last few weeks. And very deliberately so. And with the exact same rationale for the armband. It worked out, sort of. Couldn’t give a crap if Kun plays tomorrow as that was the plan and he’s always likely to get that one off, if Pep rotates the pair as per normal. Either way it matters not.
Hazard owners, what’s your plan? Keep or sell? Not owning Coutinho is starting to hurt!!
Hazard is the douche that always scores when you don’t have him. Kane is a bit the same, in many ways. He did nothing for ages, you start losing trust or at least you won’t cap him, like many didn’t cap him last gameweek. Then he scores big for the first time. This time we expected him to, that’s why I took a hit to get him back in. Anyway, Hazard never seems to do that.
But yeah, I’m actually leaning towards Hazard to Coutinho now. But it’s freaking crazy if you look at the fixture list of Hazard. Stoke is like yummy.
The stoke fixture is really tempting plus he is playing well just not getting the points!!
Not an owner but I think I’d keep him for Stoke and then turn him into a Spurs mid for 22.

Keeping, obviously. He’s playing well so he’s due something relevant one would think. Stoke at home is just that kind of game that smells points lost if you sell him. It’s just FPL typical you sell him for someone like Coutinho and he then bags a brace and the later a late cameo. I may be wrong but easy come easy go so he stays for me. Also, making moves right now that don’t involve dgw22 preparation also smells like hits incoming for said dgw which must be taken into account when shipping Eden.

Was set on doing morata to firmino this wek to free up some cash for spurs mids in 22 but have seen that Chelsea aree against a piss poor stoke this week.
Should I hold morata for 1 more week? If firmino rises too much it could effect my wk22 plans

Same rational here as per my comment 77.4 hammers. Also a Morata owner. Firmino is doing great of course and he may outsource Morata next gw for all I care. Sometimes you stick with your plans. You brought him for a reason and he scored. Keep, for me.
Yeah I’d keep him, if that doesn’t then screw you up too much down the line. He’s almost guaranteed to play, Firmino isn’t. He should, of course, but we’ve been there recently enough to know that isn’t necessarily the case.
