Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 21. If you made it this far without missing a deadline give yourself a pat on the back. And if you think you’re tired just imagine how the players are feeling! This is the last GW in the marathon Christmas period though, so you them and us all can breathe a sigh of relief and take a break for a week or so to recover.

New Year’s Day itself has a disappointingly low number of fixtures with just three games this year, for some bizarre reason. Everton and Leicester kick us off at lunchtime before Arsenal and Fulham play the solitary ‘traditional’ 3pm game on their lonesome. Cardiff and Spurs bring up the rear at 5.30pm.

We then skip to Wednesday evening for the bulk of this week’s action with 6 games in total. The remaining one is on Thursday night and should in theory be the game of the week, if not the whole Christmas period, or indeed the season. If only they all had any legs left… Oh, it’s Man City vs Liverpool by the way. Cracking time to play what may be a season decider that isn’t it?!

Our Regulars League* for 2018/19 is now open and has a cash prize pool of £300 paid directly to the winners from the FF247 management team. The first 5 places are paid out in a tiered system.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

  1. 42 points this GW with sane Salah and Robertson to go. expecting an average GW score. Currently inside the top 20k so very happy. I’ve already transferred in arnoutovic for mitrovic and have 1ft 0.1 ITB. I don’t fancy doubling up on west ham players. Looking at replacing Felipe Anderson and have 7.4 to spend on a mid.

    • Team looks strong! Maybe consider everton midfielders in for Anderson?

    • I’d keep that other transfer for emergencies but perhaps close to the deadline you could look at Sigurdsson or Fraser for Felipe.

    • That would be OK for me, as Wan-B is on my bench ready and waiting with 6 points.
      Is there any chance of Salah not playing tonight? That way Deeney’s 15 points would count for me instead smile

      • God I hope not! I’m going to need Mo’s 2 point contribution! Started off with 44 pts for first four players and imagined that thereafter anything was possible, only to fall into a screaming heap with a mediocre 58 from last night (was on 63 for a moment, until Wolves’ Maginot Line gave in, and only Robbo & Mo left to play!

        • OOPS – forgot to close the parentheses! It’s just the way I speak in real life as well! Bollocks! Sorry, rude word! Forking shirts!

    • Damn! That would mean I’d be obliged to use Kamara’s 5 points from the bench! I wish the happy couple all the best for their wee bairn! I hope that giving a bottle every 3 hours at night time (I’m sure Robbo’s the gallant type who would not hesitate to allow his wifie a little break during the night) does not interfere too much with his bio-rythms! Might be a good idea to transfer him out for TAA , with this knowledge at hand! Thanks Kop!

      Then remembered Robertson wasn’t in my first 11. Then remembered I took him out with my wildcard. Doh! smile
