Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 21. If you made it this far without missing a deadline give yourself a pat on the back. And if you think you’re tired just imagine how the players are feeling! This is the last GW in the marathon Christmas period though, so you them and us all can breathe a sigh of relief and take a break for a week or so to recover.
New Year’s Day itself has a disappointingly low number of fixtures with just three games this year, for some bizarre reason. Everton and Leicester kick us off at lunchtime before Arsenal and Fulham play the solitary ‘traditional’ 3pm game on their lonesome. Cardiff and Spurs bring up the rear at 5.30pm.
We then skip to Wednesday evening for the bulk of this week’s action with 6 games in total. The remaining one is on Thursday night and should in theory be the game of the week, if not the whole Christmas period, or indeed the season. If only they all had any legs left… Oh, it’s Man City vs Liverpool by the way. Cracking time to play what may be a season decider that isn’t it?!

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

Only my faithful Bilva. The only reason I want City to win tonight is because I hate when the title is decided so early in the season. We are left with less excitement.

We (Gunners) are playing for a different title…the 4th Spot and we will keep the interest alive by scoring and conceding in fairly equal quantities.

This would have a magnificent goal, Stones shooting on Ederson.
Fantastic game. Just a question for any Liverpool fans though, surely Milner and Henderson aren’t your best pair in those spots anymore? The transition is far too slow. The big difference on the pitch has been those two and Wijnaldum vs Fernandinho and the 2 Silva’s. That’s a big gulf and it’s showing.
Not watching the game but was surprised Henderson played ahead of Keita.
I expected Fabinho to play and one of Hendo and Milner. Keita hasn’t done enough to warrant a spot yet and Shaq is too attacking against this opposition.
Fabinho and Shaq need to come on now though mate, before it’s too late, nothing happening at the moment.
Klopps playing 4-3-3, so they are the trusted 3 in the middle, agree though that they are not the best in the world going forward. Should have stuck with 4-2-1-3 he can play Gini, Fabinho and Shaqiri.
