Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 21
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 21. If you made it this far without missing a deadline give yourself a pat on the back. And if you think you’re tired just imagine how the players are feeling! This is the last GW in the marathon Christmas period though, so you them and us all can breathe a sigh of relief and take a break for a week or so to recover.
New Year’s Day itself has a disappointingly low number of fixtures with just three games this year, for some bizarre reason. Everton and Leicester kick us off at lunchtime before Arsenal and Fulham play the solitary ‘traditional’ 3pm game on their lonesome. Cardiff and Spurs bring up the rear at 5.30pm.
We then skip to Wednesday evening for the bulk of this week’s action with 6 games in total. The remaining one is on Thursday night and should in theory be the game of the week, if not the whole Christmas period, or indeed the season. If only they all had any legs left… Oh, it’s Man City vs Liverpool by the way. Cracking time to play what may be a season decider that isn’t it?!
The games in full…
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 21 from all at FF247!

Welcome to our Fantasy Football leagues section.
The League Codes for FF247 for the 2018/19 season are as follows –
Sane/Sterling combo is back in the mix. Quite a few will regret ditching them.
I ditched. I regret. Strange sub by Klopp.
Yeah, mister weird bodybuilder 2018 is in.
Body builder in I understand. Mane out I don’t
What an opportunity missed by Kun :shake: 🙁
Both his chance and Salah’s (at the other end, of course) looked near-certain goals but both goalkeepers did brilliantly.
What a top-quality game! A draw would’ve been a fairer result, perhaps, but obviously this makes the title race closer and more exciting. If both teams play as they did tonight ‘Pool will be champions.
I think City deserved that, just. Kompany and Fernandinho were outstanding. As were Kun and VVD in the first half. Robertson and TAA both did well too, defensively and attackingly (fleetingly), respectively.
Fabinho made a big difference when he came on. I love Klopp but I lay this one at his door for picking Milner and Henderson. One maybe, not both together.
Fine margins though as you say.
Maybe it was a sense that they – Henderson, Milner – had more familiarity with the hot-blooded sense of it all. That’s probably being fanciful.
One senses Fabinho is still being eased in.
You know init, Kompany has been one of my all time favorites. The only trouble is that he is a card magnet and soon will get in trouble. With him and Otamendi back in action will be interesting how things develop.
Well I certainly wouldn’t go putting him in any fantasy team but he was marvellous tonight, rolled out to do a job and boy did he, Salah barely got a touch.
The great thing for them is that they have 4 excellent CB’s to rotate through, Liverpool are down to their last back-up and unfortunately that’s Lovren! Who would be City’s 5th choice, if that.
That’s true. I used to have Kompany most of the time in the past. He used to be Otamendi in those days but the discipline is below zero.
Salah form against the top 6 this season 7 game’s, 1 goal which was a pen, 1 assist
Interesting Salah stat, presumably put there as a warning to the curious, but I think Liverpool have just three more games against the top six, and two of those are at home.
But it all helps build a picture.
Welcome back Ota, show them what you can do 🙂
The race is definitely on! I’m finishing this week with 66. Woop!
The team that lost to Crystal Palace have just beaten the side that thrashed Arsenal 5-1. Got to love the Premier League!
Probably says more about Arsenal than anyone else.
Well yes, there is that
Faintly gutted but City are now out of the way for Liverpool. I just hope the result isn’t an augury for 2019.
Nice result, points wise I mean, for those long-suffering souls who stuck with City mids.
The Robertson assist narrowly won me my cup game, some minor consolation.
Or, you can just put it this way. The team which has not won a title in 28 years just lost to the reigning Champions.
Not bad trolling at all Ivan – who did you nick that comment from?
Are you just back from one of your champagne sessions Kralin? You know, I wish all the best to Liverpool and winning it this season. I just hate the hype surrounding it.
I’m delighted to hear that, Ivan.
Only the most foolish of Liverpool fans would think the title decided already, especially after tonight. Though my heart did quicken the other day when Southampton equalised against City.
I think Liverpool have been outstanding this season Kralin and it would be wrong if they don’t get it. As I stated earlier in a comment, I wish the show is prolonged for a little while longer. It will make it more fun for us.
I can’t see winning the Prem with Henderson/Milner starting!
Going to finish on 85 points this week if bonus points stay as they are.
Still need to find a way for Salah in my team tho
Terrific score. I think I’m on 56, Robbo may have a bonus to lift me to the dizzy heights.
Some cheer to lift my spirits.
Cheers kralin
Oh, not sure how Robbo managed to wangle that! But it probably keeps my ranking in the top 400k, so I’m grateful for small mercies.
Nice one, s. Whereas I have Salah and will finish on 50 with red arrows, again.
Can’t imagine the average will be too high this week. I always see 50 as a minimum target, so wouldn’t be too discouraged.
incredible score ‘s’
Zorro, you know funny things are happening in FPL. My B team, as you should know over the years jumped up tremendously in the last four rounds. Yet again, I left tons of points on my bench.
It just shows how mad this game is :shake:

You should call them the self-Hamers.
