Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 21

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 21. If you made it this far without missing a deadline give yourself a pat on the back. And if you think you’re tired just imagine how the players are feeling! This is the last GW in the marathon Christmas period though, so you them and us all can breathe a sigh of relief and take a break for a week or so to recover.

New Year’s Day itself has a disappointingly low number of fixtures with just three games this year, for some bizarre reason. Everton and Leicester kick us off at lunchtime before Arsenal and Fulham play the solitary ‘traditional’ 3pm game on their lonesome. Cardiff and Spurs bring up the rear at 5.30pm.

We then skip to Wednesday evening for the bulk of this week’s action with 6 games in total. The remaining one is on Thursday night and should in theory be the game of the week, if not the whole Christmas period, or indeed the season. If only they all had any legs left… Oh, it’s Man City vs Liverpool by the way. Cracking time to play what may be a season decider that isn’t it?!

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 21 from all at FF247!

  1. When you play Digne he gets 1, when you bench, he gets more. 7 mins for Digne to get something. smile

    • 12 days rest. might drop in price twice with a blank and no CS past 2 games

  2. I need a list of goals by players, effing chins blocked all search engines and vpns

    • What data points do you mean by list of goals?

      • For this season;
        Kane 20
        Vardy 19
        luka 18
        Nice please

        • Ok 13 – Auba, Kane, Salah. 10-Hazard
          9 – Aguero, Richarli, Sterling
8 – Mane, Mitro, Murray, Siggy, Wilson , Martial and Vardy(today)
7 – Firmino, Ings, Lukaju, Pogbs, Son

    • oops that’s China, sorry chins

      • That is China I understood smile …btw. Happy New Year (though you will get another new year soon).

        • Thx GM, you too. 2nd NY still seems weird mind.

      • Zorro, I sent you earlier the top 10 current table. Go to post 18.4

    • Zorro, can’t you get that info from the stats section of the official FPL site?

      • just did exactly that, cheers

  3. Feel like I have an unhealthy relationship with price rises. Last night I was debating bringing Digne in and as he wasn’t due a rise I figured I’d sleep on it, decided against said move this morning but I know I’d have jumped in last night had he been rising ( I couldn’t have afforded him otherwise). There’s a lesson in there I need to remember!

  4. Another terrible start for me with richarlson and Digne after finishing bottom of my league for the month of December. Can’t get anything right at the moment.

    • Everton have still got next four reasonable games. In fact if Rich drops to 6.9 I’m going to bring him back in for Lingard.

      • He is 6.9 Dave 😉

        • Rich is still 7.0 on my book

        • Rich is 7.0 only….anyway I guess millions of managers have Rich (30%) and Digne (13%)…all are at same page now with a not so good start of the GW.

  5. I wonder if Richarlison should be kept. A goal and assist in the last five with two away games next.

    • I’ve had him since GW1 but am seriously considering losing him. He wastes a lot of chances. Be interesting to get Init’s thoughts.

    • Yes seems to be reverting back to when he phoned it in at Watford after 5 good games

    • Away games are at Southampton and Huudersfield though

    • Starting to look jaded again like he did with Watford last season at this point. Gets a good 12 days off now though to recharge. I’m keeping him.

      • He stopped looking like a finisher for a while now, that chance he hits Evans was a 100% goal. TBH I’m not sure if to keep or can yet.

    • He’s still looking lively, often threatening to score or assist. He certainly doesn’t look lost like he did for Wattie in the 2nd half of last season. I’m keeping him.

      • … especially cos I’m 0.1m short of being able to upgrade from him to Hazard 😉

    • Yes, there are hardly any spectacular options in that price bracket, he will bring us something in the next few games.

    • For his price if he scores 3 over the next 5 hes still worth it for me

  6. Was Ricardo Pereira playing left midfield today? He’s supposed to be a right back, but looked fairly comfortable.
And great to see him get a nice haul, after Leicester lost their CS so late on last GW.

    • LEI def. has been quite okay..they conceded 23G and kept 7 CS in 20 matches….mostly conceding 1 goals with avg. around 12 shots/game (which is like 6th best). But LEI players have been mostly ignored except Pereira (due to his OOP play). Even I have not picked any LEI player till now.
