Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22. Possibly too much FPL followed quickly by not enough, it’s feast or famine season is Christmas and early January. After a small break to recharge our batteries we are back this weekend to either try and extend on a successful festive period of points, or repair the damage! Whichever one it is we have a weekend of fun ahead beginning with a bumper Saturday program of seven games…

West Ham and Arsenal kick us off at lunchtime with both sets of fans probably wondering which version of their respective Jekyll and Hyde teams will show up. The five 3pm games are a mis-mash of mid-table much of a muchness. With the exception of Liverpool, who will probably steamroller Brighton. Talking of Jekyll and Hyde, Hazard gets a go at one of his favourite fixtures in the evening game as Chelsea host Newcastle. Depending on which version of Chelsea show up, probably one without a real striker….

Talking of Jekyll and Hyde… Everton and Bournemouth get Sunday under way in the early one, before the real action begins later with the much anticipated clash between Poch-present and Poch-future… perhaps. Let’s see what Ole has to say about that though.

Man City then host Wolves on Monday to see the game-week out.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 22 from all at FF247!

  1. How would you optimize this? I have 2 free transfers for gw23 and £0.2 in the bank. leading my league by about 70 points and happy to take a -4 if needed. would like rashford/pogba/TAA/city coverage but realise that may not be possible

    • Yeah, it’s tricky to get “rashford/pogba/TAA/city coverage” in only three moves. I’d suggest you buy rashford, pogba and TAA and then hope one of them signs for City. 😉

      • True. What would you do with above team?

  2. Averages thus far.

    • Digne’s really bolstered that top-1k average today.

      • Yeah, as well as Rashford, Pogba and Shaw. But if Kane and Son had scored it would’ve been a whole load worse.

  3. G’day everyone! I haven’t been on line for a few days – does anyone know how Aguero’s little bug is going? Will he front up tomorrow evening do you think? What does Ben Dover (sorry, Ben Dinnery) say? He seems to always be in touch with the stars! See y’all! How is everyone by the way? Did Steptoe (Harry Kane) really go off limping? What a bloody showpony he is!

    • The Manc local rag reckons Aguero will start tomorrow:

Not sure that I trust them but hey, it’s too late now for any FPL changes.

      • Thanks GKW. You’re right – ain’t nothing we can do, but sit and wait. It’s either Kun or Doherty (first reserve) for me, so should be okay. I’ll get at least 2 more points! Congrats for Watford away win, ‘gainst in form Palace! smile

      • I wholeheartedly hope he does !!
        He is my Capo !!
        #gulp

    • Hopefully Kun will bring you at least ten points tonight. He’s joint favourite (alongside Rashford) to replace Kane in my side (the latter did indeed limp off, mouthing ‘I’m sorry, I’m really sorry’) to his legion of fantasy managers.

‘That’s OK, Harry’ we mouthed back, through our tears.

      • Thankyou for all the reassuring messages people! Thankyou Kralin for your particular dose of absurdity for today! Love the comments made by players when you quote them!
Oh by the way, overheard at Stansted carpark last night, “Thanks muchly Sir Al! I’ll bring you back a pressie from the tournament – maybe see if I can get one of those tacky fluffy creatures that have nothing to do with sport for all your help”. “Oh and I won’t forget the box of natural chinese laxative products for Rashford – maybe that’ll do the trick next time we meet. Although OGS seems to have found a method of ‘unblocking’ him, points-wise”. All true! What a wonderful person this young Son is! And how warming it is to see iconic ex-managers teaming up to lend a helping hand for opposition players! A message for us all!

  4. Mauricio Pochettino says he is “worried” that Harry Kane might have an injury.

    • If he’s out then getting Salah has never been easier smile

    • Robbie Keane reckons it’s 2-4 weeks based on footage.

On the other hand I’ve done that at 5s and been fine the following day laugh

One thing for sure, it’s really playing havoc with my transfer plans.

  5. Evening

Son and Wilson to D. silva and Rashford?

    • Yea I like those moves.

    • Yeah good moves.

    • I’d remove Ings rather than Wilson. Ings is a man down at the moment.

Taking into account rotation risk I’d rather have Richarlison/Anderson than Silva.

  6. Is Kamara, Jimenez & Hazard to Kun, Rashford & Stephens a good idea?

Any better way to get Rashford & City cover? Should I be dealing with Anderson / Richarlison instead?

    Cheers.

    • Or Kamara, Richarlison & Anderson to Rashford, Dilva/Bilva & Stephens.

      • Can you do Kane and kamara to kun and Rashford….

        • I can, but that leaves me with a weekly selection headache, and I’m not convinced dropping Kane is wise.

      • Kamara to Rashford sounds great.

Not sure about Dilva/Bilva. Potentially rotated in the upcoming easy fixtures then have Arsenal (to be fair this could be a DGW), Chelsea, BGW

Taking into account BGWs, I’m considering stretching my 5th mid to a 5.0 player (Brooks or Ward-Prowse top of the list)

        • To do Kamara to Rashford I’d need to drop Richarlison or Anderson. Which of those would you lose?

        • Bit of a coin toss. Would probably keep Rich based on fixtures but could go either way.
