That’s annoying, Lundstram can get a Hat Trick now then. Got nothing ITB to replace him with.
You don’t need anything in the bank if you need to replace him.
He should’ve scored just now
Fab’s 4.9m – there are plenty of alternatives: Henderson, Ryan, Foster, Ramsdale etc.
Fair enough, thought he was cheaper than that tbf.
He’s one of the pricey ones, oddly
.
Pope to Fab transfer failed…and that destroyed my next weeks plan…anyway I am thinking of going GK less next week OR, taking a hit for GK is ok?
A GKless GW is perfectly fine in my book. Particularly if you’re using the transfer to bring in a Big Gun :biggun: .
I failed to understand the appetite for Fab. A small DGW when he will face the two top teams. A false economy me think
@Ivan I had no plan/appetite for Fab.
….just had 2 FTs and no transfer to be done…Pope has 4 bad fixtures at least + Fab on a DGW, so it was the move I went for. Otherwise you are correct, does not make much sense to waste a transfer for a GK….because it does not matter whichever GK you pick…it will end with 130 odd points at the end of the season. I still have 2 FTs, but without Pope now…not sure if its a big loss. …planning to go forward with my plan without GK.
GM, I was in the same situation. Pope had to go for obvious reasons and I opted for Ramsdale, not the best perhaps but promising few fixtures ahead before it’s time for another change. My second transfer went for DCL as Kane’s replacement. Hopefully the rest of this round goes without more nasty surprises. Planning to have 2 FT for GW 24 and should have enough to bring in TAA for Kelly. Getting Salah for that week is just an idea but not sure if I am gonna go for it, and if, how.
@Ivan I don’t have much hope for Ramsdale (he is in my B team which is doing better than my main team)…hope DCL does well. But both BOU and EVE do not look too consistent. EVE is better though. Rashford > DCL and Alli > Mane are in my next week’s plan. Unfortunately, I have to go for it early due to price constraint.
GM, that is true. I don’t hold much hope for Rams but that is what you get when scraping the bottom of the barrel, temporary solution after all. And yes, I still have Alli as well. Quite frankly don’t see the reason for that mass selling.
I am left with the only option to do Salah → KDB but it doesn’t look good to me. The die hard salad supporters will disagree but he is not the Salah used to be.
That was my initial thought too GM, I see little harm in going without one for a week.
(I probably will replace him though as having looked it means I can get TAA rather than Robbo, which I’d be much happier with for the course.)
Point stands though that initially I was thinking to go without so I guess I just posted to say I support that really.
McBurnie makes it 1-0 (Fleck assist). Meh – come on Lordy!
Time for a Haller goal!
Also why didn’t snodgrass get a start? He was one of their best assets the last game.
Lundstram CS locked in!
Was just about to write the same thing!
Yup, he’s played poorly actually with some poor passing. Glad he’s off though – WH looking more dangerous – esp with Snodgrass on.
Shite. :big_boss:
The entire top 1k has him. It is on 6 points. Guess who doesn’t hold him? :hippo:
Aaah. Arsenal and City next. No way they keep a cleaner.
Lundstram’s got 3,453,743 owners, if that’s comforting to you :drinks: .
:bop: – perfect!
It obviously depends on Fab’s injury, but do you reckon Martin could be a good second goalkeeper option? I’ve still got Pope and so I’m starting to wonder if, between now and next Saturday, I maybe take out Button for him as he stands in during these horrible fixtures Burnley have. It’s only £0.1m more.
Yes I was thinking the same. If nothing else is pressing, I would wait news on Fab this week. Either that or Pope to Ramsdale, but I’m not entirely convinced.
Do you still think of Martin after seeing the goal? I don’t see any diff. between Pope and Martin over next 3 Gws.
A 0-0 match almost ended with 1-1 (VAR saved Henderson) because of not so great performance by GKs.
He’s good in the sense – maybe appealing is the better word – in that he may enable something better further up the pitch. I’ll certainly be experimenting with who else can come in if it looks like he will be WHUs keeper for the foreseeable.
However Pope to Ryan is still favourite for me.
Think they are bringing in Randolph
I think I just read that he’s injured (on the Beeb site) but maybe I misread it.
Apparently he failed his first medical at West Ham, so he has some sort of injury, but they are apparently still making some tests hoping for the deal to be done soon… Might not be too serious
Maybe they’ll just build a stopper with assembled spare parts that have dropped off Fab and Martin, call it some endearing robot name like ARCHIE or rather GOALIE or BUBBLES.
