Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. It’s a compact GW, beginning on Saturday and finishing on Sunday, for once, but that’s also for a good reason as we come back again on Tuesday for a midweek feast. Which is our main message this week; snooze or lose, basically.

Saturday sees the majority of games, with 8 in total. Watford and Spurs get us going in the early one, Newcastle and Chelsea see us out later on, with six others at 3pm, we won’t bore you with the actual details; they are all in the pic below.

The remaining two games are on Sunday with Burnley hosting Leicester before Man Utd haul their carcass to Anfield to try and recall what a proper football team looks like.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. Oh dear I’m considering bringing in Haller for Abraham for next two game weeks with view to switch to Jimenez. Is this madness?

Gazanigga is going to need to be replaced very soon

    • I think he’ll get atleast 4 points. He’s always been in my options list. I am planning to do Jimenez to him, given Wolves’ tough fixtures ahead. Then, he can become DCL after GW24

    • Haller was one of the few WHU players I thought of a couple of weeks ago before I looked at their fixtures and took fright. If any of my standard forwards get injured before the next GW I may have a think.

Jiminez isn’t the worst player to have. The odd frustrating week but bad fixtures don’t seem to matter with Wolves and Jiminez. I like players where you don’t have to spend hours agonizing over whether or not their long-term fixtures merit selection, etc.

I’m letting fate decide whether or not I get a WHU player in – and even then I don’t think I’ll rush the decision.

    • Two games this week then Brighton at home and then granted it loooks horrible

    • Not seeing it Smash.

  2. No. 3
Bobby has a decent record away from home and both his DGW games are away.

  3. Any thoughts on what to do with Sidibe? Game time risk?

    • I think he’s always a slight game time risk with Coleman. However there are loads of decent fodders if he don’t play

      • He seems to be playing wb or right midfield so not really in competition with him in one sense.

Considering James despite the fixtures – just Sidibe has done well enough for me

        • Think I’d be fine keeping him and letting whatever back up you have coming in when he don’t play

  4. Any thoughts here? One free transfer and nothing in the bank. Thinking of saving as I expect Gazanigga is going to need replacing

    • Abraham to Haller for a punt is all I really see there mate. Unless you do Traore to Snodgrass and play 343 for the week.

Either way, both are swaps and straight swap-backs I think.

      • Haller is under consideration because they play Brighton at home after and then can swap to Jimenez after that. Mainly because it’s easy swap though he’s far from in form and the double is tough

  5. Morning all, thought I’d throw this one open. I kind of blew up my GW24 plans by getting Aguero in which thankfully worked. Now I have to ditch him which was always the plan. Do I keep it simple and bring in Bobby or take a -4 to get Salah or Robbo? 1FT and £0.1

    • What does getting Salah involve?

      • Aguero to Greenwood and fleck to Salah and switching to 352

        • Like so

        • I am thinking this could be the move, with Ings looking very likely to be rested and Rashford looking to be out I could start Greenwood against Burnley over Ings

        • Actually if the news about Rashford is true I really like that

    • Or get a defender in by downgrading Martial?

      • I could but I like Martials fixture and I don’t think going down to say Doucoure is worth it for a defender

        • ya I her you – just if I had a player that scored 5 in 2 games, I’d be slow to lose him

    • Keep it simple and go for Awayday Bobby :good:

    • Risco – are you really going to sell someone that has just scored 5 goals in 2 matches?

      • *Rosco!!

Risco would be cool too though. Reminds me of that board game which goal is to conquer the world.

      • Sure am! It’s a double GW man!! Unless you can see a better move!

        • I could do this? Martial and Dunk out ! Who knows!
