Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. We’ve gone from feast to famine in terms of a hectic Christmas and NY period to the lull of FA Cup weekend. However we return to normality this week – a 3-day gameweek! We kick off with six 3pm matches – Danny Drinkwater gets a chance to show his old employers how far he has come as he watches Chelsea host Leicester. From the bench presumably. Palace welcome Burnley, West Ham go to Huddersfield, basement dwellers Swansea travel to Newcastle, Watford and Saints meet at Vicarage Road and Lord Pardew looks to continue West Brom’s brilliant run as they host Brighton. The evening match sees bus driver Big Sam drive down to Spurs.
Sunday sees two matches – first up is Wilshere’s journey back to his best days as Arsenal go to Bournemouth before the highlight of the gameweek as Raheem is another to make a return as Man City take the short trip across to Liverpool.
Our gameweek concludes with a Monday night special as under fire Mark Hughes continues the themes of returns as he takes his relegation threatened Stoke lot to Man United.

Anyone looking at Marc Albrighton as an alternative to the hot fav Jesse Lingard
Albrighton at 5.5 has scored 49 points out of his total of 82 points in the past 10 games.
If one looks at his past 11 games – its 59 points.
That works out for an average of 4.9 to 5.36 points for a 5.5 midfielder.
With leicester’s fixtures turning for the better…perhaps this is a reasonable alternative to Lingard?

Depends on dear Jessie’s freak form I guess. Normally yeah they are good stats from Albtighton. Just not sure how long Jessie can keep this up or has he just become a proper player

Morning any ideas what to do here? I think Alli needs to go. I have 2 free transfers and nothing in the bank. Might need Aguero. Citys next two games look juicy

Yeah could be the route to go. I’d be short for Jessie and Aguero though so would have to downgrade probably DCL to a 5 million or less forward

Problem is Jesus is supposed to be back sooner than expected and Firmino has some nice fixtures too.If West Ham can put 4 past us i dread to think what Liverpool might do !!

That’s a very good point Brooky. Might be better to put Sane or Silva in for Alli. See how the game goes today. I like the idea of double City and Liverpool attack

Crazy really i always put a second team just to experiment just went with one big fwd with this team although I still had Vardy & Bobby from start with Kane although it does mean I had to hide behind couch a few times but did free up funds.

Yeah forwards have just not really done the business this year I would have expected a lot more from Lukaku, Morata, Aguero, Jesus and Vardy plus there ain’t really been any options below 8.5 all season. Shame Austin got crocked. It has been strange

Thats very true.I play that team with no fear and no over analysing.Only taken one hit with it too and that was for the dgw !

Aguero looks hard to obtain for me due to how I’ve distributed funds. As such, I’m seriously considering Adrian, Daniels and Vardy out for Ederson, Alonso and Quaner or some other deadweight. Unfortunately I would be £0.1m off J.Ayew, who would be a decent third striker option. Thoughts on this? I would then have a back four of MNU, CHE, TOT, EVE with MNC in net. Not sure about playing a 4-4-2, but I think that trio should outscore the former, at least over the coming weeks. Thoughts?
That said, if Aguero performs today, I’ll be ripping my team up. Let’s hope Sanchez moves to add to the headache!

Need full team really but not sure I like it. I think Alonso is the player to have for Chelsea coverage don’t really see eargent need for Ederson. Daniels next two don’t look fantastic but 3 games after look really good

Cheers Smash. Everyone in my ML has a City defender so it was more for covering them than trying to pick points up. Maybe it’s a switch to a 3-5-2 job. Vardy not doing it for me…

Has anybody else started preparing moves for a possible blank GW 28?
I’m trying but I just don’t want to get rid of any City/Chelsea/United players before GW28 itself. Still want to see Chelsea and City to win just to see the mass panic it causes everybody else 😀
