Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. We’ve gone from feast to famine in terms of a hectic Christmas and NY period to the lull of FA Cup weekend. However we return to normality this week – a 3-day gameweek! We kick off with six 3pm matches – Danny Drinkwater gets a chance to show his old employers how far he has come as he watches Chelsea host Leicester. From the bench presumably. Palace welcome Burnley, West Ham go to Huddersfield, basement dwellers Swansea travel to Newcastle, Watford and Saints meet at Vicarage Road and Lord Pardew looks to continue West Brom’s brilliant run as they host Brighton. The evening match sees bus driver Big Sam drive down to Spurs.

Sunday sees two matches – first up is Wilshere’s journey back to his best days as Arsenal go to Bournemouth before the highlight of the gameweek as Raheem is another to make a return as Man City take the short trip across to Liverpool.

Our gameweek concludes with a Monday night special as under fire Mark Hughes continues the themes of returns as he takes his relegation threatened Stoke lot to Man United.

  1. 68 should get me a green arrow, just not as big as I would have liked. At least it’s green though!
Thinking of Eriksen & Vardy -> Salah & Firmino
Where should I raise the extra .3?
    1. Otamendi-> Stones
    2. GroB -> ???
    3. Just do Erik -> Salah
    4. Something I’m missing?

    • Option 3

    • Id keep Vardy. He has strong home fixtures coming up. Might match Firmino’s points easily.

    • Thanks guys. Rueing. Or having anyone from Pool or United right now. City boys let me down today. Oh well…

    • What about GroB -> Ox as well as the Salah move?

      • Not for me. Ox has never really produced

        • Agree with you Smash – however his improvement and form makes me wonder………….

        • He has just expecting Lallana to take his place once he’s fully fit

        • I’m not sure if Ox is fantasy relevant at present. However, you can already see an improvement in his game since joining Liverpool.

    • Losing Ota after 1 bad game?

      • Hey Raz, not wanting to but needing to raise .3 if I go for Firmino. These chaps have convinced me to hold onto Vardy though smile

  2. Bit the bullet.

Brought in Salah and Firmino for a hit. Only 0.1 itb spare so had no choice with expected rises/falls. Hopefully not chasing last weeks points

    • Hopefully you’re not as I’m keeping them both

  3. Keep Son or trade for Mahrez / Sane with better fixtures?

  4. Who’d have thought that playing Sterling over Ayew would turn out so bad?!!! C’mon captain Pogba!!!

  5. Roll on GW24!

    • My best game week in ground made up. Just hoping Lingard does nothing

      • And that United concede…!! Though i cant see it.

      • You had a massive leap in rank, well done mate, hopefully it will continue!

Really struggling this season, usually well into the top 50k by this point in the season! Hopefully I will start to have a bit of luck over the coming weeks!

      • Sold Sane to get Lingard in.
        He better score/assist tomorrow 😉 !

      • Smash, could you ever imagine making that statement at the beginning of the season?! Or even 4 weeks ago for that matter smile

He’s now owned by a fifth of players. And bearing in mind half of the players don’t play and 90% of the rest are irrelevant then that’s quite big!

        • Oh, forgot to say, how’s the kidney?! Sorry.

        • Nope never. Really did not see it coming. I actually thought he would be at West Brom or Stoke by now. I’m pretty fearful as well. Yeah loads of my rivals suddenly have him and yeah that’s massive

        • Thought you meant the comment about watching songs of Praise…! 😆

        • Ah awaiting a scan probably tomorrow to see the damage

        • Ok mate, best of luck with that then.

  6. What we moves we all planning for GW24?

I’ve done hazard and morata to Mahrez and kun, will also be bringing in either Arnie or son before the deadline!

    • hey Mitro. Have brought in the Liverpool boys (Salah/Firmino) for Morata and Alli. You on a -4 already?

    • I’m actually thinking of bringing in Ederson!! I need a new keeper; £5.6m to spend who do we think is the best keeper for that price based on form and fixtures!?

      • Go with Ederson Rosco 😉

      • Probably Ederson but Chelsea seem to play a boring 3-5-2 defensive formation so possibly Courtois

      • Rosco im looking for a keeper myself ! Ive had the Palace boys then Elliott and then bloody Gomes who have had about 2 clean sheets between them all season !!

        • I was thinking Pickford but not sure now.May go either De Gea or Courtois.

        • Yeah I’m looking at Pickford. Think Palace might be signing a bloody keeper. Thought I had that covered with Hennessy and Speroni. Had a keeper nightmare all season just trying to save cash

        • Don’t mention that git Gomes! I’ve made a lot of mistakes this season but he’s been one of the biggest. Need to get rid of him but don’t have much cash!

        • Hes been one mistake of many for me this season Kop ! Who you looking at ??

        • Maybe Pickford. Will only have 5.1 to spend.

    • Those r some nice moves!
      Spurs have a tough(er) schedule…
I’d go with Arni over Son.

      • Yeah I’m leaning more towards Arnie, going to shift cork and go 3-5-2 for a couple of weeks!

    • Decent moves I think not sure if I want Aguero or not

      • He didn’t look up for it today which is a worry!

        • But he scored 5 against Newcastle and that’s all I need to stick my armband on him!

        • Yeah exactly 5 goals is a lot of points. Going to try and wait and see if some transfers happen this week eg Sanchez

    • Alli Christensen and Gomes out for Mahrez Jones and maybe De gea/Courtois/other for -4 i think barring any injuries before Friday.
