Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. We’ve gone from feast to famine in terms of a hectic Christmas and NY period to the lull of FA Cup weekend. However we return to normality this week – a 3-day gameweek! We kick off with six 3pm matches – Danny Drinkwater gets a chance to show his old employers how far he has come as he watches Chelsea host Leicester. From the bench presumably. Palace welcome Burnley, West Ham go to Huddersfield, basement dwellers Swansea travel to Newcastle, Watford and Saints meet at Vicarage Road and Lord Pardew looks to continue West Brom’s brilliant run as they host Brighton. The evening match sees bus driver Big Sam drive down to Spurs.

Sunday sees two matches – first up is Wilshere’s journey back to his best days as Arsenal go to Bournemouth before the highlight of the gameweek as Raheem is another to make a return as Man City take the short trip across to Liverpool.

Our gameweek concludes with a Monday night special as under fire Mark Hughes continues the themes of returns as he takes his relegation threatened Stoke lot to Man United.

Should I use my WC to fit in Kane, Morata out?

    Hello guys,

    Bit of advice needed please.

    Current team for next gameweek:

    Pickford
    Otamendi, Jones, Kenny
    Salah, Sterling, Arnie, Richarlison
    Aguero, Kane, Firminio

    Foster, Ogbonna, Dunk, Carroll

Got 1 FT and £0 ITB. Was thinking of moving Richarlison (£6.3m) out but i am struggling to find a better option. He always seems to have chances in games but just isnt delivering at the moment.

Maybe Albrighton? Any other suggestions welcome or do i just save the FT this week?

    Thanks in advance

Hi all, got 2FT but nothing in the bank. Really just looking for ideas. Money no object, I’d bring in Aguero for Vardy. Unfortunately, that would mean probably just mean Sterling down to Albrighton. I’m thinking I want to keep Kane for the Soton game at least, then Vert will probably go.

I have been considering Vardy, Daniels and Fab out for Crouch (to the bench), Alonso (4-4-2) and Ederson to tap into the probable CSs those two will be getting. Then I will probably start shifting the team to a 3-5-2. Obviously this means no Aguero really.

Any thoughts on Sterling? He was naff yesterday, but he always is against Pool. Still got his place?

    Thanks in advance.

      Mr Bean says:

I don’t think Ederson is needed with WHam’s fixtures, despite their struggles for clean sheets of late. Would keep Vardy with their upcoming fixtures as well.

I would do something very simple like Daniels -> Dunk, or Vertonghen -> Stones/Maguire/VVD depending on personal preference/prep for GW28 possibilities.

Could combine the Vertonghen move with Son -> Mahrez?

      • AT says:

Cheers Bean. I’ve just seen that Sanchez’ move to United is looking close. Might be ripping my team up to get him in haha.

Not fancy Spurs’ chances against Soton this week? They don’t score many!

        GW28 – that’s City and Chelsea, right?

        • Mr Bean says:

Yeah the Sanchez moves could make things very complicated, especially if Arsenal move for Mahrez as a result.

I think City have slightly better chances of a CS but yeah, Vert should be good for this week

Possible City,United,Arsenal,Chelsea blank…still have 10 days before we find out for sure though!

        • AT says:

          Cheers mate

        • Smash10 says:

Don’t get the Sanchez love unless he starts playing up top. He’s so expensive if he’s at United they don’t score enough goals and if he’s at City there are loads of options

Morning all. Got rid of groß and DCL for Oxlaide and Ayew using my two fts. Good to go?

      Mr Bean says:

Would be inclined to play Kenny over Chamberlain or even Alli…but tough leaving that cash on the bench.

      Can’t fault it otherwise.

      • Neilos says:

Cheers Mr Bean. Oxlaide is an experiment for the next two games. Just want to see how he does. Alli has great stats v Southampton so that was my reason to hold him this week. Possibly turn him into Mahrez or Sane the week after.

        • neelbasus says:

Good lineup ! Very similar to mine. Ox really paid off well against city and has a good chance against a struggling Swans side. Plus he is on corners and also a few set pieces !No brainer really !

        • Neilos says:

Cheers Neel that’s my thinking aswell. He could be a great differential and has scored well the last few games

    Morning all,

2ft and 0.8m ITB. With Spurs fixtures and the poor returns of late, Son and Richarilson are two that I might move out.

I feel ive missed the boat a bit with Lingard and uniteds fixtures are getting a bit tougher so I was thinking Richarilson to Albrighton and Son to Sane.

Anything else I should look at?
