Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24. Time to get the show on the road once again and we start down at the south coast for the lunchtime fare as Chelsea visit Brighton. Six 3pm matches follow as top-6 stragglers Arsenal host the slowly improving Crystal Palace, Man Utd take the short trip to Burnley, Everton welcome West Brom, Leicester entertain Watford, Stoke clash with Huddersfield and in what should be a more entertaining affair, Bournemouth go to West Ham.

The evening match sees Newcastle entering the lion’s den as they look to stop Kun, KdB et al at the Etihad. Sunday sees just one fixture and it’s another London team travelling south as Spurs go to Southampton.

Our game-week concludes on Monday with Swansea hosting free-scoring Liverpool.

  1. Any early ideas what to do here. Maybe save the transfer . Nothing in the bank

    • Yeah save, nice team ! Really need to get Jones back in my team. One of my biggest mistakes was taking him out instead of Christensen for Alonso.

    • Get Kun!

      • Nah just got burnt this week by putting him in . Playing longer game

    • Team looks well balanced. Probably best to save the transfer.

Kenny’s position will soon come under pressure. Also worth asking how you feel about the Palace GKs? Probably something to look at when you have 2FTs

      • Yeah expect Kenny to become an issue unless he moves LB. Yeah Palace keepers ain’t ideal at all but kind of stuck with them for now

  2. Watford sack Marco Silva….!!

    • Everton’s fault.

    • Odd decision. Maybe they want Hughes…

    • Just realised that that’s now 3 of the 5 that I cover weekly for Team News that have sacked their manager. And it wouldn’t take a great leap of imagination to see Saints and Brighton follow suit at some point. Brighton less so I guess as they’d want him to get them back up but certainly Saints, I’m surprised that dullard is still there.

    • With Silva sacked maybe Mariappa will get some gametime again. And Richarlson will do something again. Who knows.

I understand why they sacked him. The trust was gone.

  3. Afternoon chaps,
    Christensen is killing me!
I am now 120 points behind my ML leader and will pribably drop to 3rd by the time the GWs over!
Any suggestions im thinking either Hegazi or Christensen to Azpi,
    I have 1ft and 2.5 itb

    • ML rivals team. Hes already used hi free hit.

    • Ya Azpi is a sold player. Good for the bp too. May have a blank at some stage though. Any thoughts on Maguire or Fuchs? Nice run and save funds?

    • I’d be more concerned about Depoitre and Dcl.Think you need to sort your 2nd striker spot out.Maybe play 4-5-1 this gw and start Massuaku and try and save your transfer.Unless Cahill is back then Christensen may have to go.

      • Not sure on Christenson. Might just be unlucky. Luiz has looked good when he plays. Cahill has only played in middle a couple of times if that all season

      • Thanks guys. Really tempted to use my WC!

        • Dont ! A few tweaks are all that are needed.Wait till after the cup games this week then re-assess.

    • dB, I would concentrate on getting firmino or vardy up front as your ml opponent is weak there, and you can gain more points on him through attackers.

  4. My Ml rival has Aguero (c) and double United at the back.I have neither. He has clawed back a 70 point deficit to be only 8 points behind me.I really need a haul from Kane today and the Liverpool boys Salah and Firmino tomorrow.Amazingly he has opted to go without any Liverpool attack !!

    • Yeah I have a similar rival who has done same bloody thing. Aguero captain , double United defence and Mahrez. Has no Liverpool coverage. Gone ahead of me

  5. Afternoon all !

Anyone around with a big sofa to lend ??!?!?
It can be a used one (the same one you guys used yesterday during the City game), no worries at all !

It’s now My Turn to use it laugh laugh laugh !!!
    #NoKane #NoSon #NoAlli

  6. Hi, hope you’re all having a good weekend.
Against my better judgement I think I am going to have to WC, my team is driving me mad. How does this look? Any opinions appreciated
    Thank you x
