Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24. Time to get the show on the road once again and we start down at the south coast for the lunchtime fare as Chelsea visit Brighton. Six 3pm matches follow as top-6 stragglers Arsenal host the slowly improving Crystal Palace, Man Utd take the short trip to Burnley, Everton welcome West Brom, Leicester entertain Watford, Stoke clash with Huddersfield and in what should be a more entertaining affair, Bournemouth go to West Ham.

The evening match sees Newcastle entering the lion’s den as they look to stop Kun, KdB et al at the Etihad. Sunday sees just one fixture and it’s another London team travelling south as Spurs go to Southampton.

Our game-week concludes on Monday with Swansea hosting free-scoring Liverpool.

  1. Sanchez to ManU? Wow, he really doesn’t belong there. But whatever. hehe. ^^

    • It funny I was in Chile earlier in year and taxi driver was obviously talking up Sanchez. He was saying that the Chile people were pissed off he played for Arsenal and belongs at a club like Man United

      • I wish him all the best for the future, strangely him going to Utd actually hasn’t hurt like RVP! I was distraught when that happened! Sanchez will smash it at Utd but I’m more than happy with miki and PEA as replacements, PEA will do well and certainly be among the points

  2. Guess it was awesome timing binning Ali and Eriksen for Sterling and Salah. ^^

  3. Kane miles ahead for max bp’s suddenly drops to 2.Davies on for the 3 now.

    • Must have been that big chance at the end. Loaf of rubbish

      • Dough! smile

      • FFFix don’t even have it down as a big chance…not sure how accurate they normally are with that.

        • Depends what both parties definition of a big chance is. They may not even be singing off the same hymn sheet. Not sure Fix even have a hymn sheet in all honesty given some of the nonsense they tweet.

I didn’t actually see the chance, I only heard that one on the radio. Was it a big one?

        • If its the one im thinking of it was half a chance and was a great block by the defender.

        • Weren’t that clear cut but he snatched at a shot in the box that went wide

  4. This BPS system is a joke. Can somebody explain how that happens?

    • They assess everything at the end of the game and add points and take off points accordingly.

    • So a player can score a goal and work his socks off all game(hypothetically) and in the last minute miss a sitter and that wipes out 10 or 15 points gained in 1s and 2s.
      NONSENSE.

      • Missing a sitter is -3 BPS if the keeper saves it, and -4 if it is off target.

Bonus are very much geared towards strikers (24 BPS for a goal, compared to 12 for a clean sheet) so negative points for missing a big chance seems fair to me.

I do think shots on target deserve positive BPS though.

    • In short, no. They review the BPS given out at the end of the game and adjust accordingly, but I have no idea how they get things so wrong in game.

The BPS should be made public because they’re a joke a lot of the time (not complaining about Kane because I don’t have him but Mahrez went from 3 to 0 yesterday!!)

      • I enjoyed that one 😉

      • Yeah those Mahrez bp’s really pissed me off ! Hardly worth showing who is on what bp’s during games on the fpl site as they can change so dramatically after the game has finished.

    • From the bits that I managed to see I was surprised he was on 3 to begin with. Obviously the goal helps but he looked no better or worse than anyone else out there. I’ll take the 2 and move on. Not that I have much choice in the matter!

      • So is 2 definite then?

If it is ive won an important h2h if it’s 1 then I’ve drawn

  5. Soooo anybody thinking of hopping of Kane onto Aguero for a few games…..?? smile

  6. Bad GW this one. 37 with Salah, Firm and Carrol remaining.
