Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25. Back to normality then, no more DGW/TC dilemmas to contend with, for a bit anyway. Back to 10 games within 2 days, done and dusted. None of this waiting around for a week and a bit nonsense.
Leicester and Chelsea kick us off on Saturday in the early one which is followed by a whole raft of 3pm games, none of which look particularly exciting other than perhaps Liverpool vs Southampton. The evening game should perk us up a bit as Nuno takes his Wolves to see what they make of Ole’s United.
Sunday sees us out as quick as we came with two games. The first is a clash of both cultures and perhaps desire as Arsenal visit Burnley. The second sees a clash of a different sort as Jose and Pep renew acquaintances at White Hart Lane, or whatever it’s called these days.
The games in full…
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Not having Salah over last last two weeks has killed me, wildcard hit… early ideas coming soon.
Surprise/much needed points from Son (Mane –> Son worked out!) and Aurerier (I still got him too , Init!!) to propel me up a bit closer to the top of my ML. Bring it on!!
That was a ballsy transfer, well played! Aurier was the surprise of the round for me with that CS, I only played him as I felt City would concede, I certainly didn’t expect a cleanie out of it.
Still doing crap this season tho. Haha. You’re doing pretty good right?
I know we’re a ways off from GW26 but wanted to pose a question. If you were WCing this week (I’m not) what would your ideal front 3 be? Forwards have been a massive puzzle this season I feel. Or does a 3-5-2 make more sense from now til the end?
I have no idea really, now that Vardy is off the boil seems like anyone would do, so I guess three cheap strikers is the way to go, I’d still have Vardy I think, and throw in Jimenez who had chances to score against United and looks good overall, then Ings, or DCL, or whoever really
You don’t fancy getting Wood on for a cheap laugh?
erm… I mean getting Wood in as a cheap striker?
PEA kun and Ings
Have pea on mine mow
Ings based on fixtures and Southampton hopefully making the most of them.
Firmino based on Firmino.
Jiminez seems a safe pair of boots.
Might I add that if you get Jimenez for Ings (or vice versa) they will conspire to troll you for weeks, so beat get both or neither 😉
*beat=best..
Goes without saying.
My side has them both, plus Vardy. It’s not bad in theory. Leicester and Southampton have good fixtures whilst Wolves’ aren’t too great which is genrally good news for them. I’m relatively happy with what I have.
Firmino doesn’t fit as I have 3xLiverpool already.
Yep agree jn theory, though Ings’ and Vardy’s form of late has been less than promising… Have them both and I think I’ll keep… Tempted to go back to Jimenez and boot Jamie, but not quite sure…
Thanks for the green arrow btw Kralin, your dodgy guarantee appears to have been solid this week 😉
‘dodgy guarantee’?!? What do you think I am, a secondhand car salesman? Everything I predict comes true, OddDane, you know that.
If it’s the best combination of both form and fixtures ahead then it’s Vardy, Jimenez and Firmino.
+1, though I am getting a bit nervous about Vardy’s form
Cheers for all the replies gang. Plenty to think about, but will prob make a boring defensive transfer or two this week. Kun, Firmino and Ings will live to fight another day.
Evening everyone! Hope you’ve got some great FPL scores!
Just thought to gauge early thoughts as I don’t want to make any moves before we know more about Mane. That and a good few Blades fans have said about how good Lundstram was when he came on which could earn him back his place, what with the contract negotiations hanging over him.
…What do you think of Vardy, Maddison and Lundstram for Aguero, Traore and Baldock for a -4? Would leave me with four not playing GW28 but then there’s still time to bring in at least one player who would be in place.
I wouldn’t take a hit for Lundstram to Baldock.
A brutal cull – which seems more an act of reprisal – of Leicester players seems premature given their fixtures. I can see the lure of City: that home game versus WHU is very hard to resist.
I took heart at the Lunders’ gossip.
Exciting I know, but how about Kelly and Lundstram to Stephens (Sou) and Egan (Shu).
Kelly to Taylor (Bur) might be worth a consideration? Also, asking for a friend…
Cheers, guys. Really appreciate your thoughts. Traore has just come up as 75 per cent too, so I’ll definitely be holding fire on any moves for now. Thanks to his price, Egan is also on my radar – wouldn’t be tempted by Burnley’s Taylor just because I’ve got Pope already and I don’t like to double up at the back. Thanks again
Yes, that is true.. Doubling up in back can hurt quite a bit and is generally advised against.
It can hurt but it can pay off as well, quite grandly. Demoralises opponents, too.
The best defensive doubles are the cheap ones and I maintain it’s one of the most satisfying things in fantasy football when one of those comes off.
I’m so glad Kun didn’t score. My rival had him as his captain and he has lately been very(very) lucky with caps, as opposed to my choices.
You mean he picked correctly and you didn’t? :unknw:
I mean “thank God, his captain didn’t work this time”. Mine, don’t care.
51 points, Salah pretty much saved me and I’m sure lots of others. Everyone happy with their scores this week?
53 here. Wish I had capped Salah. 14 points lost.
