Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25. Back to normality then, no more DGW/TC dilemmas to contend with, for a bit anyway. Back to 10 games within 2 days, done and dusted. None of this waiting around for a week and a bit nonsense.

Leicester and Chelsea kick us off on Saturday in the early one which is followed by a whole raft of 3pm games, none of which look particularly exciting other than perhaps Liverpool vs Southampton. The evening game should perk us up a bit as Nuno takes his Wolves to see what they make of Ole’s United.

Sunday sees us out as quick as we came with two games. The first is a clash of both cultures and perhaps desire as Arsenal visit Burnley. The second sees a clash of a different sort as Jose and Pep renew acquaintances at White Hart Lane, or whatever it’s called these days.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 25 from all at FF247!

Keep Sterling one more week, or jump back to Mane, 1.0ITB.

      Kralin says:

Interesting dilemma that. I think I’d keep as is, certainly for now, and get Mane back for Liverpool’s home game versus WHU.

But if Vardy is off the boil then Sterling has barely warmed up so there is a certain leap of faith involved. But there is no guarantee Mane will get 90 mins – nor Sterling, I suppose, come to think of it.

At this point it feels brave to hold on to Sterling, and mind you I’ve tried my fair share of punts on the lad… How about Son vs the Villains before going back to Sane?

      • Kralin says:

‘Sane’ – are you starting to lose it, OddDane? First you start using the word ‘dodgy’ in the same sentence as my name, then you go wildly off-piste with some (presumably repressed horror-memory) mention of Sane.

        • OddDane says:

Admittedly some red wine may have entered my belly this evening, but Sane? Mane? pish posh, it’s all the same it would seem… although I must admit, that should’ve said Mane smile

        • OddDane says:

As for the rest of my ‘dodgy’ typing I shall stand by it – unless of course… You can guarantee yet another week? 😉

        • Kralin says:

Of course. You’ll get somewhere in the region of 85 points in the next GW.

(I can add a 07 plate Fiesta to that for a coupla grand.)

        • OddDane says:

Thanks Kralin, you make a grand car salesman!

If Mane is definitely ok I’d jump back. Might be me but I think Sterling has looked really poor this season

Hi All, ended up on 66 which I’m fairly happy with. I have concerns over Lundy, Kelly, Soyuncu and Vardy’s form. Am thinking to either drop Vardy to Firmino or Lundstram to Robbo or VVD. What do you think gang? Give Vardy one more chance? Sort the defence first? Forgot to add that I have 1 free transfer and 2.4 in the bank. Thanks all.

      Tornado says:

I’d take care of Lundstram and/or Kelly first, as their lack of minutes is more concerning than Leicester boys’ form. I am saying goodbye to the legendary John Lundstram this week and I suggest you do the same (he will start dropping in price soon, he’s got BGW28, currently out of favour etc). So Lundsram out -> Robbo/VVD in sounds good.

Hey guys. How do I fit Aguero in? Don’t want to lose Mane. Vardy + Grealish to Kun + 4.5m mid? Or Deeney to Connolly with Kun?

      AJW says:

      Hey Constantine,

Haven’t you been having an amazing couple of weeks? I don’t know what your score was this week, but I have a feeling you’re going pretty well. I’ve slipped from 11k in GW 13 to this point (114k, after progressing slightly last GW). Here is my team with Aguero in it. Check out the individual scores. I’m extremely frustrated by the run of mediocre scores and don’t know what to do about it. I hope this reassures you (I got rid of Mané).
Was thinking of just sticking to plans and selling Vardy for Jiminez (medium term musings I’ve had for a while), but what happens if he comes back into some form??? In any case, I’m going to keep Kun – life feels more reassuring with both him and Salah around! Cheerio – and good luck!!!
AJW smile (p.s. any advice on what to do in coming weeks would be greatly appreciated!)

      • constantine says:

Hey AJW. Thanks for the reply sir. Having an Okayish season. But, happy that I climbed from 14 mill to around 100k since I played my WC in GW9. But, recent GWs have been bad. I mean bang on top 10k averages, which means no rise, no fall kind of situation. Had so much of faith on my TC. Thinking about the hindsight, had I just TCed and captained Salah in the last game, I would’ve been on 1487 points. That means around 30k mark. But, c’est la vie. Hope I finish the season in the top 50k. That’s my target. Top 10k should be a miracle.
Regarding Aguero, I think he could’ve had atleast 02 goals yesterday. He looks dangerous everytime near the box. Vardy is a bit hot and cold. But, having Salah+KDB+Mane+Kun in your teams leaves a very weak mid with just a 2-3 pointer MF option every week(like Nobel/Docoure, etc.). The same could be seen with your team as well.
For your team, I’d like to get some Wolves cover. I am thinking Jimenez + Traore, given their fixtures and form.

        • AJW says:

Thanks very much Constantine – will probably get in Jiminez and maybe get in a cheaper Liverpool mid like J Henderson or Oxlade-Chamberlain – just to see what can happen.

Cheerio – am off to work on a cold French morning! (Bit like Delhi in the winter – except no Chai-sellers on the way to work! smile )

        • constantine says:

Hahaha. cheers AJW. Next time, if you’re in India, we shall have a good cup of chai together. Good luck for the future games.. :good:
