Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

From one DGW to another, in quick succession, we may have to get used to this.

Leeds book-end this one by kicking off our GW on Friday night away at Wolves @ 8pm.

Southampton are the other team with a double and they begin theirs on Saturday @ 12:30 at home to Chelsea. Jeff then has the excitement of Burnley vs West Brom to report on @3pm before we get to a derby 6-pointer as Everton visit Anfield @ 5.30pm. Fulham and Sheffield United see us out on Saturday @ 8pm, if anybody can be arsed. They won’t be.

The West Ham Cup Final kicks us off on Sunday as Spurs visit the dildo laden lot @ 12pm, Villa welcome Leicester @ 2pm, City will destroy Arsenal @ 4.30pm and Newcastle go to Old Trafford @ 8pm.

Our ‘normal’ GW ends on Monday as Brighton host Palace @ 8pm.

Our extended GW ends on Wednesday as the doublers of Leeds and Saints meet @ 6pm.

The games in full…

  1. I already know I’m going to pick the wrong one between Maddison and Barnes.

  2. Why’s Grealish missing…injured or something else?

    • Injured. Mixed messages re his chances of playing v Leeds

    • apparently out for a month according to BBC Sport:
      https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56147920

    • Not short term either though has been mentioned on here already

      • I believed the initial rumours that it was long term and now BBC are saying a month, but you’ve got Dean Smith saying it shouldn’t be long term (which I don’t believe). Why can’t he just be straight, what’s the point?

  3. KDB & Gundogan both start, sign. Hoping Gundo can get somewhere near Barnes.

  4. So this is my team set up for next GW, I have given up on Salah, Kane and Son, are they worth holding or should I cut my losses and replace them, but for who?

  5. Arsenal v Manchester City

    • Looking at liver score kdb is playing as a cf. Could be good for anyone that twisted on him.

    • Looks like the only nailed on starters are Ederson, Cancelo and Sterling

      • Out of those 3 only Ederson is nailed. Other 2 will be subject to rotation in the league. Dias has only missed out due to illness since coming into the league.

      • More like Cancelo and Sterling will be the next ones to be rotated as I don’t think they are the most important players

  6. Which one do people prefer and why? Or any suggestions?

    • Second one is meant to be this

      • So it’s:

        Lindelof, Barnes, Vardy
        vs
        Alonso, Son, Watkins
I like first option better. Not keen on Lindelof though. Can’t see Alonso starting every game either.

        • I’d expect Lindelof to be bench a lot there in truth. Though yeah could be anyone at 4.8. Alonso I guess there’s enough cover for. Thanks yeah first one might be better

      • No love for Digne ? Nice dgw, possible double in gw28 and decent fixtures afterwards.Very Very similar draft to one of mine, just not sure on Spurs now !!

        • I’ve just sold him :big-lol: . Tbh he could not keep a clean sheet v Fulham or Newcastle at 6.1 is expensive for someone I don’t really trust

      • I like the second one but would wait for after this game.
KDB could become a hot property once again and change the template.

    • You could swith Rudiger to Burn and Soyuncu to Alonso if you are keen on Alonso. I like Barnes at the moment. Not sure on Watkins with no Grealish.

      • That’s a decent shout

        • Like this

        • Somehow I am not keen on 4-4-2 or 5-3-2. Think is a false economy, a trap once you get in, hard to get out.
Anything else gives you more room for manoeuvring. You can always downgrade one of the strikers should they underperform and upgrade elsewhere.

        • It’s a 3-5-2 really but I’m more keen on a 3-4-3 generally

    • I like the first one.

Don’t see the need for Lindelöf, I’d see if you can either dump him for a really cheap option (upgrade elsewhere, e.g. Smith-R) or just take Targett or someone else playing in bgw29.

      • Thanks yeah. Lindelof could be anyone at 4.8 I’m not a massive fan. Though looking at that draft it would almost certainly be free hit in 29
