Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

From one DGW to another, in quick succession, we may have to get used to this.

Leeds book-end this one by kicking off our GW on Friday night away at Wolves @ 8pm.

Southampton are the other team with a double and they begin theirs on Saturday @ 12:30 at home to Chelsea. Jeff then has the excitement of Burnley vs West Brom to report on @3pm before we get to a derby 6-pointer as Everton visit Anfield @ 5.30pm. Fulham and Sheffield United see us out on Saturday @ 8pm, if anybody can be arsed. They won’t be.

The West Ham Cup Final kicks us off on Sunday as Spurs visit the dildo laden lot @ 12pm, Villa welcome Leicester @ 2pm, City will destroy Arsenal @ 4.30pm and Newcastle go to Old Trafford @ 8pm.

Our ‘normal’ GW ends on Monday as Brighton host Palace @ 8pm.

Our extended GW ends on Wednesday as the doublers of Leeds and Saints meet @ 6pm.

The games in full…

  1. When did the DGW fixtures come out? Thought they were due tomorrow. Sneaky little buggers

    • They come out literally 1/2 minutes after deadline, very sneaky I thought, it’s made it slightly more difficult now

  2. Best defender for 26 and also 29? 1FT 0.7itb

I’m planning on bringing in Grealish, Auba/Saka and White after 26 to give me a fu 29 team.

    • .

      • I’d prob say Konsa as you get the extra games out of him

        • Konsa (or Targett) is a decent shout. Downside is it blocks me getting Grealish later.

        • Villa have been poor defensively of late but not reflected in their scores.
Aina looks a good shout from a potential cs perspective. I’m not sure where he has been playing of late. He may have been playing in the Robinson position

    • Re: your defender question, I’m looking at either Aina or Dunk. No DGW26 for Dunk, but good fixtures through to 29 and good current form. Aina has DGW26 and also good recent stacking form.

      • Cheers chip. Aina could be a nice little differential if it pays off and that gives me the 11 DGW and 8 GW29 players that I’m looking for

    • I think Brighton is your best bet. They have defenders to suit all budgets. I went for one (White) for GW29 reasons, knowing that 26 would likely be a SGW for the player. Their GW26 is fine on paper. Their defensive form recently has been good. They can be WC out after if you still have your WC – which, unless you had a last minute change of heart, I think you do.

      • Cheers Kralin. I may we’ll bring in a BHA player for 29 but atm I need the 11th DGW player otherwise I can hold Coufal. And yes, still on plan for WC30.

      • There still seems something wrong in considering Fulham or especially Brighton players. When is Lamptey back and does he upset that defensive solidity?

        • Lamptey is back soon I believe. I don’t think he really affects them defensively too much. He’s prob their best player and plays RWB

  3. The blokes in the Premier League in charge of announcing the DGW features are possibly the biggest trolls of 2021 yet :big-lol:

    • Imagine if they’d done it 15 minutes before the deadline. Heads would have been exploding under the pressure.

      • There were still people prepared for that I beleive. But yes the pandemonium would’ve been a treat to watch

      • The website would just have gone down

  4. The weekly highest points team went for Patricio (TC)
Of course that’s what you do when you live in Antarctica :laugh2:

  5. Well I think I’m well on course to wildcard

    • What’s your thinking with that Smash?

      • Moved Digne and Ings out for Shaw and Kane. Very early moves which prob push me into wildcard. Means I can ditch Leeds. Not really sure it’s got to be used at some point and I have my free hit and TC still. TC will likely be the other Spurs double I’d expect.

    • Yes probably worth it to get 11 doublers.

      • Yeah though I do have ten now with the -4 currently

        • If one of your players gets injured that may finally tip you over.

You have the luxury of actually knowing the fixtures (even though we did know them last week) but one or two were tripped up by Southampton (not that that’s an issue because their second double will happen).

Anyway good luck and given the help you provide I’m sure plenty of people will chip in with thoughts as you develop your ideas.

        • Yep that’s it. One injury and it has to be pressed. I think I’m fine with that. I anticipated it being played. I have the free hit anyway and there is another double for TC with Spurs
