Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

From one DGW to another, in quick succession, we may have to get used to this.

Leeds book-end this one by kicking off our GW on Friday night away at Wolves @ 8pm.

Southampton are the other team with a double and they begin theirs on Saturday @ 12:30 at home to Chelsea. Jeff then has the excitement of Burnley vs West Brom to report on @3pm before we get to a derby 6-pointer as Everton visit Anfield @ 5.30pm. Fulham and Sheffield United see us out on Saturday @ 8pm, if anybody can be arsed. They won’t be.

The West Ham Cup Final kicks us off on Sunday as Spurs visit the dildo laden lot @ 12pm, Villa welcome Leicester @ 2pm, City will destroy Arsenal @ 4.30pm and Newcastle go to Old Trafford @ 8pm.

Our ‘normal’ GW ends on Monday as Brighton host Palace @ 8pm.

Our extended GW ends on Wednesday as the doublers of Leeds and Saints meet @ 6pm.

The games in full…

  1. Would you play BB with this team?

    • Probably not

    • Yeah probably. You don’t get much better opportunities for it now

    • Yes – put 4 decent DGW players on your bench (apart from your C and VC obviously) et voilà. Next week is all about TC or BB. It looks the most bench boostable week of the season – so far (when are several teams going to have such juicy fixtures in just one week again this season?). If they’re fit, Kane or Son would be good candidates for TC too.

    • Thanks guys.
This is my glories B team which as always does better than my main one. I wildcarded it yesterday which took me exactly 20 minutes.

  2. BB is used, so thinking what’s the best TC option?
    1) Gundogan GW26 WH(h), Wol(h)
    2) Kane GW26 Bur(h), Ful(a)
    3) Fernandes GW26 Che(a), Palace(a)
    4) Gundogan GW27 ManU(h), Sou(h)
    5) Kane GW?? Sou(h), ??(?)

    • 5 I think is what I’m going to go for. Think it’s Saints and either Everton or Villa. Kane will have a few games hopefully under his belt

      • Burnley and Fulham will park the bus and do t tend to concede many and I’m not sure Gundogan gets both but might be an option too. Bruno and Salah ones this week also look ok

        • Tempted by Fernandes. Starting to think Palace will go through the patch where they seem to go to the beach, before a late rally to keep them safe.

        • Yeah Palace is as good as it gets. Chelsea are looking good defensively though under Tuchel and the new system

    • 5 I think. Southampton can be generous at times. More generous than Burnley and Fulham may not be pushovers.

Salah in 26 isn’t the worst option but nice to have it up your sleeve.

      • Yeah I’d agree. Saints, Villa and Everton will attack which might suit Spurs on the counter

    • Salah not making the list of choices?

    • 2) or 3), leaning towards 2).

I will probably do 5) myself but this is because I don’t own Kane atm and I am using my BB this week.

  3. FA cup semi-finals are GW32. Can fixtures be moved midweek or will that be a blank? Just noticed Man City are due to play Villa, which may well be heavy on after GW29.

    • Think there’s a free mid week slot in same week for the FA cup games

  4. Could someone kindly advise of the best website to monitor price changes please?

I need to keep an eye on Kane and Bamford.

    Cheers

  5. Best defender for DGW26 to replace Dallas? The budget is tight – 4.9 M.

    • I’m looking at Aina? Also plays in 29, which could be a bonus depending on your chips/plans beyond 26.

      • Thanks Chipster!
My bad, I should’ve mentioned it – all chips available.
Plan is Ings to Vardy and Dallas to up to 4.9M defender and BB in 26. I haven’t decided whether I’d use my FH in 29 yet.
I guess it depends on who’d this defender may be and whether I want to keep Raphinha/Bamford (based on their performance in GW25 & 26).

    • If Dier plays this week it’s prob him.

      • Thanks Smash!
Good shout! I’d love to get Spurs defender. The trouble is Mou is doing his best Pep impression this season. Never know who will get the nod…
I will closely monitor Dier’s situation.

  6. Already looking ahead to the DGW. How do these moves sound?
    Dallas, Raphina & Bamford > DCL, Grealish & 3.9Deef (Mitchell/Struijk)
That’s gives me 2 more DGW players so the -8 is somewhat negated. Could be any other combination of Def, Mid & Str up to 19.2 total.

    • Those moves look sound.
However, I wouldn’t obsess too much over the DGW. Perhaps 1 or 2 transfers would be fine. The season continues after GW26.

      • Fair point. Quite a few of my ML have used their BB so this is my chance to catch up a bit. I’ll still have a decent squad and can FH in GW29

        • If it feels right – do it, SAFsmile

    • Grealish might be injured

      • Cheers Smash. No price changes noted on him so I’ll hold fire on that move
