Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26. No double games to contend with this week, just a straight forward set of 10. The last lot before we get rudely interrupted by the FA Cup again, but pay attention this time as what occurs in that may well impact hugely on what occurs in FPL later on with blank and double game-week ramifications all over the shop.

Saturday begins with two teams enjoying contrasting fortunes since they recently changed their managers as Fulham host Man United.

Saturday afternoon’s highlight, from a purely footballing perspective, will be watching Liverpool try not to choke completely against Bournemouth. Fail this test and we may as well just hand the title to City at 5pm. Elsewhere Palace and West Ham contest a derby, Huddersfield will continue their descent to the Championship against Arsenal, Saints and Cardiff have an almost literal six pointer and Watford will go all out to hang ex-boss Silva out to dry.

The final game of the day is Brighton vs Burnley, we guess there is some mild relegation interest at stake but beyond that we are struggling to either see the attraction or indeed why this is on TV. Even Brighton and Burnley fans will be hard pressed to avert their gaze if they have spent the afternoon painting walls…

Sunday should hold more interest though, Spurs Lite and Leicester kick us off nicely at 1.30pm before the main attraction at 4pm as Sarri takes his Chelsea balls to Man City for a lesson in motivation.

We continue into Monday this week as Wolves look to continue where they left off against Everton as Newcastle come to town, perhaps with a shiny new signing on show in the shape of Almiron.

The games in full…

  1. Hiya all, just planning ahead for blank GW and so on.. bit tired of Richarlison and want to get in Jimenez in but will need to take a -4 to do so.. I am just not sure what Mid i should be bringing with the 6.4 that i would have left over. Any advise would be great.

    • How it would look with transfer option above

      • What my team would look like for GW27.. Aguero and Digne benched 4-4-2 layout if i go ahead with transfers?

    • The best advice I can give you is that forget about FPL for next 10 days and just relax. Do not overthink. Gw27 is far away.
Start thinking on 19-Feb (after UCL and FA cup matches are over). By that time many things will change, many things will be clear like who will have BGW/DGW, who all are injured, who is coming back from injury etc. etc. You might miss out few price rises/falls, but its worth waiting. This is not the week for any planning/ early transfers.

      • + 1. this is sound advice from GM.

      • Oh a bit of planning doesn’t go amiss, though I know what you mean.

I got a slight frisson earlier seeing three of my players with no fixtures next to their name next GW. Feels like we’re entering the business end of the season.

  2. That was a cruel Stephens goal: Etheridge set for all 3 BPs and also Peltier actually coming off my bench for once! Something like 10 points wiped out.

It seems that yellow cards have been rife this afternoon.

  3. Kolasinac own goal… I don’t even want to count how many points this made me lose…. sad

  4. a superb red card to zouma to add more misery to everton

    • Surely that’s a good thing for them if it means he can’t actually play?!

      • just glad it wasnt digne lol. hopefully mina is back for you guys although don’t see you guys doing much at cardiff away.

        • You sound like Elle. Which is never a good thing. Funny how the rest of the country doesn’t want Liverpool to win the league isn’t it?! Can’t quite put my finger on why….

        • ‘Can’t quite put my finger on why….’ you need professional help matey

        • aint surprised mate. my colleague at work who’s a diehard manu fan prefers city to win the title instead of us. really hates us with a passion. if we can beat them at OT in 2 weeks, he will probably avoid coming to the office and WFH for the rest of that week lol.

        • @zorro, I think you just need to look up ‘sarcasm’ 😉

        • Ignore them eresh!! smile

        • lol kop. sure will. hows it going m8?

        • He’s no idea how it’s going Eresh, he’s become another professional Liverpool fan so he’s too busy looking at other teams and ways to have a pop at them instead of simply supporting Liverpool!

        • Ouch!! Somebody hasn’t taken their happy pills today.

        • IKR! Dunk = 1

        • Case in point Eresh, you’re even extending it to fantasy teams now and as much as I like you and think you’re a lovely bloke you’re simply coming across as a bit of a tit now!

  5. “We scored a gooooal,we scored a goal,we scored a goal,we scored a gooooal !” :blue-flag:

  6. I was trying to remember why I’ve always avoided playing with 2 different team in a single season !!
Now it all came back to me smile !!
