Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26. No double games to contend with this week, just a straight forward set of 10. The last lot before we get rudely interrupted by the FA Cup again, but pay attention this time as what occurs in that may well impact hugely on what occurs in FPL later on with blank and double game-week ramifications all over the shop.

Saturday begins with two teams enjoying contrasting fortunes since they recently changed their managers as Fulham host Man United.

Saturday afternoon’s highlight, from a purely footballing perspective, will be watching Liverpool try not to choke completely against Bournemouth. Fail this test and we may as well just hand the title to City at 5pm. Elsewhere Palace and West Ham contest a derby, Huddersfield will continue their descent to the Championship against Arsenal, Saints and Cardiff have an almost literal six pointer and Watford will go all out to hang ex-boss Silva out to dry.

The final game of the day is Brighton vs Burnley, we guess there is some mild relegation interest at stake but beyond that we are struggling to either see the attraction or indeed why this is on TV. Even Brighton and Burnley fans will be hard pressed to avert their gaze if they have spent the afternoon painting walls…

Sunday should hold more interest though, Spurs Lite and Leicester kick us off nicely at 1.30pm before the main attraction at 4pm as Sarri takes his Chelsea balls to Man City for a lesson in motivation.

We continue into Monday this week as Wolves look to continue where they left off against Everton as Newcastle come to town, perhaps with a shiny new signing on show in the shape of Almiron.

The games in full…

FMLS: To the limited group of managers who play FMLS, the season will begin on 02-March (in less than a month’s time). Ivan has been quiet nowadays. So, I thought of throwing this info. to the site.
@All managers, you are welcome to play. Its WC every week (unless they change the rules) and thus very easy to play in comparison to FPL. No headache of transfer planning, injuries, chips, BGW/DGW etc. Every week you can pick your choice of 11 (or, stick to your core team).

I am not sure how many managers paid attention – but Burnley is doing good since Heaton’s return in Gw20. Since then in 7 matches Heaton (0.5% ownership) racked up almost 35 points and Chris Wood (0.4% ownership) 42 points.

Popular choices like Fabianski got 24, Patricio 17 (+ NEW match tomorrow) – my GK combo since long.

My hit for Lacazette paid off! Thankful he’s getting 3bps

However this is my first time ever owning Redmond in fpl. And I understand why he is so frustrating to own! I felt like he should have scored at least 2-3 times in today’s match!

    Hi every body
is there any site that deals with UCL in a way similar to FF247 dealing with FPL?
    I personally doubt smile
& i will take the chance and say “thank you” to FF247 team. At first i thought of this place as a “spoon feeding” site for folks to copy paste the site team. But things are hugely different.

That’s interesting MHD. Always pleased to hear feedback on ‘perceptions’ as it’s difficult to judge when you’re in the woods.

I’d like to think it was a whole lot more than your original thought. Be that the articles or more importantly the chat which follows them.

I’m sure there are some that simply copy and paste said team but I’m not sure where the enjoyment in that is. Or the plus side really given that we have to press ‘go’ on a Thursday. This week being a prime example of when that’s not necessarily a good thing!

That’s a strange perception, I’ve been writing here for just 2 seasons but the ‘site team’ seems to have really picked up traction this year; no suprise given how well it’s doing. However, looking back before I became a contributor this site was all about the community first and foremost, to the point it’s actually more beneficial to many people as a place to vent/ seek help/have banter / make friends. Sometimes FPL becomes almost trivial when you get such fantastic interaction and genuine people who want to help one and other. Hang out here more often and you’ll find a really good group of people who are anything but spoon feeders! Oh and in answer to your question – no idea mate 😉

Having 2 of the FF247 team responding to me just confirms how things are “hugely different” from my original thoughts.
This is my 2nd FPL season. I came here last November after i was fed up of 30s-40s scores. I googled “FPL tips & guides”, a bunch of sites came out. After a quick surf, this one caught me. I always wonder of sites that put a weak by weak team but each time it is as if WC is used [scout as example], so having a “real” site team that is bound to all regulations is far much logic. The discussions, the articles,…..i was just like “Finally, i found it”.
Since then i am here everyday, and till now, my own team never copied that of the site and i am just doing fine with scores [ups and downs, with many 80s smile ].
      Thank you again FF247 team.

A week by week team is just a different way of doing a Tips article. Almost a lazy way, you could say. We prefer the Site Team for the exact reasons you state. It’s more realistic, sometimes too realistic!

You’ve got here quicker than me. I spent three seasons blissfully unaware of any fantasy community then finally cottoned on. I had scores languishing in the millions for my first couple of seasons, then saw a dramatic improvement as I picked up the basics of the game.

The basics are very basic and if you stick to them you’ll be fine.

Key thing here is just join in and offer your opinion. No opinion is better than any one else’s, believe me. It all helps and adds to the community.
