Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26. No double games to contend with this week, just a straight forward set of 10. The last lot before we get rudely interrupted by the FA Cup again, but pay attention this time as what occurs in that may well impact hugely on what occurs in FPL later on with blank and double game-week ramifications all over the shop.
Saturday begins with two teams enjoying contrasting fortunes since they recently changed their managers as Fulham host Man United.
Saturday afternoon’s highlight, from a purely footballing perspective, will be watching Liverpool try not to choke completely against Bournemouth. Fail this test and we may as well just hand the title to City at 5pm. Elsewhere Palace and West Ham contest a derby, Huddersfield will continue their descent to the Championship against Arsenal, Saints and Cardiff have an almost literal six pointer and Watford will go all out to hang ex-boss Silva out to dry.
The final game of the day is Brighton vs Burnley, we guess there is some mild relegation interest at stake but beyond that we are struggling to either see the attraction or indeed why this is on TV. Even Brighton and Burnley fans will be hard pressed to avert their gaze if they have spent the afternoon painting walls…
Sunday should hold more interest though, Spurs Lite and Leicester kick us off nicely at 1.30pm before the main attraction at 4pm as Sarri takes his Chelsea balls to Man City for a lesson in motivation.
We continue into Monday this week as Wolves look to continue where they left off against Everton as Newcastle come to town, perhaps with a shiny new signing on show in the shape of Almiron.
The games in full…

Any non aguero owners in North London want to go to the pub to drown our sorrows?
Well hey! Thankyou very much Sergio – you turned a mediocre GW, into a pretty good one! Thought Son’s YC was a sign of the times, but he came good and pulled us out of it! Wow – looking back on it I should have left the armband on Kun, with Salah VC – but I thought there was no way he could repeat that trick (the ‘hat’ one!)! Wow! Got Matt D tomorrow to put the icing on the cake – too bad if it’s a 2 point el-cheapo icing! Just watched France-England in rugby and feeling depressed about the state of the French game. They’re not ready to imitate Pogba and Co! As far as being torn between 2 rugby nations is concerned (ie. France and Australia) I think watching Premier League is the only viable alternative!
Or maybe look at a few Gaelic football or hurling matches. I hope Trent agrees though (see Kralin’s comment on page 1 or 2!). Similar to Aussie Rules & jolly good entertainment!
I would strongly recommend that people do not match Gaelic football or hurling. It’s painful on the eyes!
Painful?
When would be an ideal GW to wildcard?
Whenever your team requires it!
well, yeah, that as well.
I know we have a run of doubles, blanks, bench boosts etc.
Just want to know when would be ideal.
I
It really depends on how you want to play the blanks & doubles. There’s no right answer.
Not this coming week would be the attitude I would take.
Check again after next gameweek.
I concur GP
Last week. Bring in Lloris, Son, Aguero, Sterling & Eriksen.
if I could do a Cher EBC and Turn Back Time, I would…lol
Cheers GP
Did you do your hit in the end?
yep…lol… what a wally.
Ouch. We live and learn I suppose
We sure do EBC.
Now looking at a 60 gap between me and the leader, so not impressed with my balls-up!!!
But hey, it happens I suppose.
Still time.
Holy forking shirts! 6-0!
Aguero may not be getting 3 bp at this rate.
Chelsea should be relegated for playing so bad.
In 2 GWs – the effort of entire season destroyed by City (Aguero, Sterling and Laporte)……my bucket: Sane (1 pt.) – nearly 60-70 points lost.
If it makes you feel any better I have had Aguero both weeks and may actually have lost ground on some people in my leagues.
Bloody Sterling, forever causing havoc.
The only positive is that, City has put ARS to 5th spot above Chelsea.
