Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26
The big one is here. And as DGW’s go this one is rather large with no less than 17 games spanning 6 days, starting on Saturday and finishing up at about 10pm on Thursday. That’s about 1,530 minutes worth of football, or 25.5 hours, and every last drop of it is televised.
A small word of caution here, other than the obvious which is to have a good divorce lawyer to hand, after we finish on Thursday you get just the one day off as GW27 begins on Saturday again with an 11am deadline.
We won’t script out all 17 games here, the picture below tells a thousand words, other than to say that there are 4 games on Saturday, 5 on Sunday, 1 each on Monday and Tuesday and 3 each on Wednesday and Thursday. Enjoy!
The games in full…

A classic sideways move hysteria
Just because Gundo and Sterling blanked and Cancelo was rested they’ve decided to change guards with one more game in this round and another double next
Crazy. Not a fan of Sterling myself at that price. But to move him out is silly.
Maybe they didn’t think that him or Gundo can score a brace next and Dias or Stones could be rested.
Damn – they stole my thunder. It has been my plan to transfer Sterlo to KDB for the past few weeks! Oh well,I am not going to change just because it’s in danger of becoming a bandwagon move!
But obviously I won’t do it till about Friday!
Yep
Peptation has its advantages. Doethkse who understand it!
Fun fact: one of my ML rivals went with TC Martinez 😯
How do people take those decisions, when they have Bruno, Kane, etc in their team?! Them cojones…
All sorts among the crazy 8 million community :laugh2:
Boggles the mind.
Would have had Sheffield as the easier if the dgw too. So could work out for him.
If one of the big caps going mad will still pay off better for us
Just when we thought the craziness was all but over…
Nice! Might bench boost that week :hippo:
Sounds good for my saved BB
My BB is a total failure, so I’d feel horrible if that’s the case! I only played it now “because there is no better time for it”…
Mad season :close_tema:
Thursday evening will be the time to judge whether or not it’s been a failure. The average now and OR / ML positions are irrelevant.
Look at how Leeds rode to the rescue right at the end of the last GW.
The thing I always bear in mind is that I’m not competing against anyone on here. What happens here with other managers’ teams has no bearing at all on my own side, ML nor usually my OR. There will always be someone who does really well, some fairly average and some unlucky sods who have a stinker. But as of this moment we don’t know who they are.
I’d chill out about it all and just enjoy the football and tune out of the fantasy side now and then.
In addition (he said, full of Sunday morning pontifications) if there is a big DGW towards the end of the season who cares? Those with the FH left can wield it then or if not, just plan for it carefully. The end of the season can be an iffy time when you have teams on the beach, etc, so this news isn’t that bad.
And we don’t have any detail yet anyway.
Wise words Kralin
Well, I know for a fact that my BB is a failure, as I have 3 SGW-ers who all blanked and if I knew there was the slightest chance of another (and by the sounds of it, even bigger DGW), I’d have definitely held onto my BB. I still have chance for a good result this GW, but it won’t be due to the extra 6 points from 3 players.
That said, I don’t think there will be another massive DGW cause it just doesn’t make sense. Even if they move fixtures around, they will probably separate them in different GWs, I reckon.
Kop,
Two questions. Moving games “back” means moving the entire set of scheduled GW36 games to the dates for GW37 and so on?
The DGW35 games would be the two involving Spurs and Man City, as well as any remaining unplayed games? Just a little confusing.
I’d just keep a vague eye on Ben C’s musings about it all. Just focus on the up and coming GWs for now, bearing in mind perhaps that the FH may be worth having up your sleeve.
Kralin,
Thanks for this. I do have a BB which may come in handy.
Think they will more likely just move the game weeks
That would be seismic and in my opinion if two gameweeks become one then that would be making a complete mockery of the game if FPL didn’t react to maintain them as separate gameweeks.
Call them ‘A’ and ‘B’ or one of them ‘+’ if necessary.
Yeah I’d agree they don’t just make double game weeks for the sake of it
49(-4) from 7 players. Lot depends on the captain choices. Still a decent start for the week.
Come on captain Salah..
Hey, you capped Salah too. I am a believer!!!
Yupp. Just have a feeling, hattrick incoming. :hippo:
Lets hope disappointment doesn’t haunt all our dreams.
Then I saw her face… Now I’m a believer! Hahaha!
Have atleast one player playing in all the games today.. Good times
Best of luck old chap.
4/5 with captain Bruno
These fellas!
Just saying… :bravo:
There is possibly even a bigger reason to go 3 City defenders now , understanding that at least 1 likely rotated weekly
Had Edison but moved him on the wc. He seems to be the safest. Can get the very odd assist too lol
A lightbulb moment?! 😉
I have the same above as you, and then these below… :explode:
Double CS from pope to safe it for you mate. Leeds where just unlucky
Even 1 CS will be just fine.
I would not have been comfortable benching them all though
