Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27. This is the first of the so called ‘blank weeks’ when a few teams miss out on fixtures. This particular one is because Man City and Chelsea face off in the Milk Cup Final and subsequently both Everton and Brighton get to sit it out too. If this comes as a surprise to you (Hi Raz!) then don’t say we didn’t mention it once or twice in our articles this week. Right after giving yourself a good old slap in the face.
What it does mean is that we have just eight games this week, and rather unusually we begin with two on Friday night. In fact, we think this is the first time this has ever happened. Cardiff face Watford and Fulham play West Ham, so let’s just hope it wasn’t some sort of deliberate marketing tool to draw in viewing numbers…
Burnley and Spurs get us going in the early one on Saturday prior to a paltry two games in the traditional 3pm slot as Bournemouth host Wolves (fantasy relevant) and Newcastle host Huddersfield (not!). Leicester and Palace play in the late one.
Sunday does look a bit more enticing as Arsenal play Southampton mid afternoon before the tie of the weekend sees the GW out on Sunday with Liverpool going to Man Utd to try and make the most of their game in hand. No idea who Man Utd fans actually prefer to win this one!
The games in full…

Watching some of the game today it looked like Kane was occupying the space that Son liked to play in while he was out injured… so could Kane coming back now impact Son’s prospects going forward?
King scores a pen for Bournemouth
Ok got my team picked version 1
Ruidaz – Picault – Manotas
Lodeiro – Barrios – Atuesta – Lletget – Harston
Feltscher – Garcia – ElMunir – BSmith – Hollinshead
Blake (MacMath)
Think you need to get Salah and Kun in there at least.
Good team, I am bit clueless as of now. I guess Round1 will be like a lottery.
My tactic at the moment is :
Pick 15 players who will play. I can always scrub the later ones if the earliest do well. Pick players with form at the end of last season. If they fail week 1 then with the weird pricing we had last year they may still increase in value.
I’m guided by the bookies odds as to which teams will win, CS score.
Apart from that it’s total pot luck
Wolves can’t even keep a cleansheet. Have Patricio and Bennett and with Son captain fail, it’s not looking good for me.
Lossl on 7 saves already! Looks like Patricio was the wrong choice…
Red arrows incoming.
Raz, you not have Jimenez or Doherty? As of right now it’s those two and Diop that have me seeing green arrows.
I’m fully expecting Lacazette to fall down the stairs tonight.
His extra two match Europa league ban didn’t do us Auba owners any favours
I’ve just logged into my team and discovered that Pogba is my captain!
That could be good or bad, depending on who you expected to see!
Pretty sure it’s a “Martian” curse 😉 …
The Rome trip and all that
It was supposed to be Son!
Problem is, I hope Pogba does naff all tomorrow!
You’ve inadvertently built in a consolation prize I suppose.
I saw that earlier Kop. I thought it was an odd call but then assumed you were hedging your bets as a Liverpool fan.
Bite your tongue!
He is my Cpt :hippo: !!
He is mine too, hence the comment!
