Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27.
After what was the longest ever FPL game-week on record we return to normality this week with a relatively brisk three ‘dayer’.
Chelsea and Spurs kick us off on Saturday lunchtime as Jose once again returns to Stamford Bridge, but this time it’s war, according to his hair anyway.
We have four 3pm games as Burnley welcome Bournemouth, Palace and Newcastle provide a welcome gimme 0-0 for our gamblers, The Lord will look to further troll Gavy and co against Brighton and Grealish takes Villa to the seaside as part of their FPL farewell tour.
A 2nd vs 3rd clash sees us out on Saturday to see who will become which by the end of the season.
We have three games on Sunday with Man Utd & Watford and Wolves & Norwich both kicking off at 2pm before The Arteta Derby at 4.30pm
Monday sees Liverpool destroy West Ham.
The games in full…

And Pickford is the England goalie? Get Pope in as that guy is useless.
I’d take Pickford and Henderson over Pope. He was on the verge of being dropped before that penalty save a few weeks ago
I wouldn’t let Pickford anywhere near the England XI
I would….
:mosking:
Agree, he’s an appalling keeper, don’t know how the hell he’s even in the squad let alone number one.
There’s a microbrewery around the back of Fratton Park where we drink before games. One of their nicest beers is called Short Arms also known as The Pickford.
Pickford is great fun, I wouldn’t swap him for anyone other than Allison or Ederson. He wasn’t at fault for any of the goals. Granted he nearly caused one but that’s what you get with him sometimes. He suits how Southgate wants to play, none of the others do.
I believe that’s the reason he remains Southgate’s choice. Which I accept. Being the better goalkeeper in a traditional sense isn’t the be all and end all these days weirdly.
He has a great ability to actually start attacks with the correct pass or throw out but sometimes that’s missed or overlooked unless you actually see him in a full game in the flesh. He often bypasses the CB’s or mids (which is always handy whenever Mina, Keane or Schneiderlin are on the pitch!) with the correct balls out wide to the peeling FB’s or wingers to put the team on the front foot. But as I say you just have to accept that occasionally he gets carried away and thinks he’s Beckenbauer! :dash:
Yep, the odd mistake in distribution/sweeping will happen – which is perfect for tournament knock-out football 😯
Regardless what we all think, Southgate probably ain’t going to make a goalkeeping change this close to a tournament.
How would you know? ……..

Anyone thinking a Richarlison/ DCL double up might not be a terrible idea despite the fixtures?
Was thinking about that myself. Need to sell Fleck and go for Barnes, Richarlison or Fernandes (MU who have some tricky fixtures coming up….not sure who to get.
2 weeks on the run they have both scored. DCL missed a few today though. I will play them both as I have other fires to put out.
Not a terrible idea at all. Richarlison and DCL are next off the rank for me after the next GW. And Everton play Norwich in 31, or there’s a 72.87% chance of that happening or whatever.
I fancy one of Horse’s micro-beers.
How’s Richarlison getting 2bps?
He isn’t as no Everton player is.
Weird, he was on 28bps at FT. My man DCL nearly ended up with one, shame.
Dcl missed a couple of big chances. So lost his bps. Dont know how he didn’t get another goal!
Does annoy me that that still gets penalised so harshly. If he’d stayed out of the action in the last 20 he’d have probably kept it!
He was unlucky with the header which dropped just wide but other than that it was down to some fantastic defending from David Luiz (words not often used in the same sentence!). Watch them back though with that in mind and you’ll see what I mean. Great awareness and positioning from Luiz, the Everton defence could do with watching it themselves actually.
Played well. Created a no of chances
My plan was to bench Aguero, and go 5-3-2 for GW28.
Would the threat of Vardy finding form against Norwich be foolish to ignore though?
Would be interested to read your views.
Thanks.
Binned Kun for Vardy as the fixtures are good and he has blanked for a few.Class is permanent etc!! and expecting him to get back to scoring.
Yeah I agree with Kruz here I’d take Vardy it’s not like you will have any value in Aguero
Thanks guys, sound advice.
I’m starting to think Kun is too expensive at 12.0m
Vardy gone 7 games without scoring and is still top forward point scorer.
Deeply frustrating I know but the cloud is lifting I hope.
Well well well, great game today!
PEA capo paid off, on 61 with TAA and Salah to go!
P.S saka is going to be a fantastic player for The Arsenal!!
If he signs a contract!!
Pool will snap him up as he stalls on a contract!!
I was musing on who Liverpool would fancy from either Spurs or Arsenal at the moment. Not a lot. I thought, fancifully, that Son would make a very handy super-sub. That was about as far as I got.
If he wants to remain mid table.
That changed the game. I actually said out loud when Kolasinac went down, “uh oh, we don’t want him going off”…:
That said Everton deserved a draw and Gomes likewise changed the game when he came on, proper Rolls Royce of a player he is, and he hasn’t kicked a ball for 4 months.
Wow…well done Mitro! Your Arsenal are improving.
