Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27.
After what was the longest ever FPL game-week on record we return to normality this week with a relatively brisk three ‘dayer’.

Chelsea and Spurs kick us off on Saturday lunchtime as Jose once again returns to Stamford Bridge, but this time it’s war, according to his hair anyway.

We have four 3pm games as Burnley welcome Bournemouth, Palace and Newcastle provide a welcome gimme 0-0 for our gamblers, The Lord will look to further troll Gavy and co against Brighton and Grealish takes Villa to the seaside as part of their FPL farewell tour.

A 2nd vs 3rd clash sees us out on Saturday to see who will become which by the end of the season.

We have three games on Sunday with Man Utd & Watford and Wolves & Norwich both kicking off at 2pm before The Arteta Derby at 4.30pm

Monday sees Liverpool destroy West Ham.

  1. Is it too late to say ‘Hammer time’??? Or are WHU about to get hammered themselves in the last quarter? The whole of Merseyside waits with bated breath! Good to see someone pushing the Champs to the limit! We’ve only got The Guardian online reporting over here in France but it is as exciting as telly. (Come on Dad – push the update button on your phone again!) smile. Bye for now dudes!

    • Too late but a surprisingly close-run thing. Hope your GW is going well.

      • Not at all. As mediocre as is possible. smile

        • Hopefully above the average then, at least. Loads to play for still.

    • Thanks Kralin – sorrry I didn’t reply last night, as it was an hour later over here (almost replied with the old ‘Rumpole of the Bailey’ line, ‘And so to bed’. But didn’t know if the reference might be lost on you – as we were spoon-fed British TV in the 70s-80s in the colonies!). One point above average, guaranteeing another week of red arrows. Thinking of shipping out Kun + Lundy for Abraham/Vardy + Robbo. What think you? Bye for now – might just learn to do things off my own bat, without solliciting advice. smile

      • No worries and the clock was close at hand here anyway.

Never read / watched ‘Rumpole’ though I did see a brief interview with John Mortimer in a documentary I watched the other day about British B Movies.

Those moves make sense to me.

  2. Mane wins the race.

  3. Glad I captain TAA, thanks Cookie :girl_pinkglassesf:

    • Great choice, lovely to hear: an amazing haul for him considering Liverpool’s bewildering largesse this evening.

    • Well played Carolyn

    • The girl with the big set.

  4. Sigh, would have been top of my League in Mane hadn’t of scored and he also gets 2bps by the looks of it.

    • There’s always next week, Shadow. Take pleasure in stealing in and taking the crown like a cat with a mouse between its teeth

  5. Barnes or Maddison?

    • I’m leaning towards Barnes – it’s worth comparing / contrasting their form.

Admittedly for me I can’t afford Maddison.

      • Hehe. 😉 I got 4m in the bank and I’ll be replacing ummm Greallish.

        • I’m delighted to hear of your wealth, Raz. Mine has been squandered on trifles.

Like you I am ushering Grealish into the night.

        • I might even be considering a really weird move…. But it is a move eying the future. Would mean a hit… Greallish to a cheap fifth and Greenwood to Vardy. Making sure I can upgrade or downgrade Vardy later if he keeps failing. But he hasn’t delivered for weeks and weeks. So would be dangerous. Really tired of the 3-5-2 though. Prefer a fifth mid I don’t use and play 3-4-3.

        • Yes the good old 3/4/3 has in the main worked ok this year, not least because of the Liverpool full-backs. Greenwood’s not the worst asset though and if you have a Leicester defender, plus one of their midfielders, that may may serve you ok.

However I would be fretful if I didn’t own Vardy so always good to follow your own leanings.

  6. Not a great game for me tonight. 12 pts from 3 players so I’ve probably got a big red today. But overall for the GW 7 goals, I think that’s my record.
