Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28.

And then there were 8…

If you’re arriving here wondering what on earth the above title is about then you either haven’t been paying attention or you are in for a big shock; basically Arsenal, Aston Villa, Man City and Sheffield United aren’t with us this week due to the Milk Cup final on Sunday.

We do still have a relatively full GW which spans 3 days though and it begins on Friday evening with Leicester licking their lips at the prospect of facing a now notoriously leaky Norwich.

We have the usual Saturday structure beginning with a lunchtime KO between Brighton and Palace before Bournemouth welcome Chelsea, Burnley go to Newcastle and West Ham host the Saints, all at 3pm. Watford and Liverpool see us out in the late game.

Sunday has just the 2 games, both at 2pm due to the aforementioned, and now traditional, trouncing of insert any team name (Villa) by City at Wembley. For the record the games are Everton hosting Man United and Wolves visting Spurs.

The games in full…

  1. Sarr is evil, pure evil

    • Hehe. How are you doing this gameweek. I could up with a score or 22 or less.

      • 17(+6from bench) and four to go – it’s almost impressive (how bad it is)

        • oh… and -4pt on the hit to rid myself of Vardy and Martial

      • 25 with DCL, Jimenez and Dendonker to go. Brilliant!

      • 17 here with DCL, Traore and Tanganga to go with the latter two being big effing IF

        • At least we are all pretty much in the same bucket.

      • 17 with four to go. We are too reliant on Pool.

        • Nevermind. 16 with 3 to go from which to are Greenwood and umm Traore. I’m doomed. Hehe.

      • No one can beat me…13 points, actually 9 because of the -4 hit. 3 Wolves players tomorrow might not be enough to help me avoid the worst GW ever

        • I tried though to beat you 18 (-8)

        • Shocking results…
The worst thing is that I was preparing my team for this GW for the last 2-3 GWs.
And then there are plenty of guys who forgot about the early deadline, outscoring me with ease :suicide:

        • That’s the irritating part, the fellas who had Lundram playing a couple of weeks ago when he came off the bench and scored. That sort.

      • I’ve got 18 (+6) with 5 to play (Bruno, Jimi, DCL, Rich, Traore) but there’s nobody left on the bench. And I’ve got -4 for changing Auba to Vardy !!!

  2. Bouremouth should be a gimmee – but struggled against West Ham, really poor tonight and next Bouremouth. Salah to Auba indirectly might be a consideration if a DGW

    • Tonight’s score was the sort of score I was expecting after the league was won, not before.

I was pondering earlier that Everton, humilated twice this season by weak Liverpool teams, may have been the side to end the run.

From a fantasy perspective this keeps Liverpool live for at least another GW.

From a Liverpool fan’s perspective I hope Klopp gives the first XI a few days off and puts out the thirds again in the FA Cup.

Bournemouth at home next is a perfect game to get some zip back before Madrid.

Oh – and well played Watford. Terrific for them.

  3. Hands up who got this score prediction right

  4. I thought I was having a terrible GW but this fella in my ML is out on his own

    • What’s his bench?

      • All not playing :dash:

        • Statistically speaking, that’s actually impressive (assuming he didn’t deliberately go for non-starters)

        • I’ve only outscored him by 4 smile

        • He’s genuinely trying. He’s ahead of me in the ML! Not sure what that says about my performance this season

  5. 22 with 3 Wolves lads to go.

I don’t know if that’s not too bad actually

  6. Someone get me a Scotch, please. A bloody big one.

    • I’m way ahead of you, sipping bourgogne at an alarming rate here. My mate has already started on my Balvenie…

    • I am with you! Cheers lads :drinks:
