Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

Look, it’s a regular gameweek with no blanks or no doubles and to be honest some of us are so thankful for that.

This super normal GW kicks off on Friday when Toon play host to Emi “Lord of the Clean Sheet” Martinez, for non-owners he is known as “that bastard that kills me every week, but I am too stubborn to buy”.

Saturday gives us four more fixtures. Leeds tries to slow down a surging Chelsea side in the early game. Palace then takes on West Brom which is followed by Everton welcoming in Burnley and the day is capped off with Fulham taking on Pep’s XI, whatever that might be that day.

Sunday also gives us four encounters. Saints tangle with Brighton, Leicester dismantle Sheffield, Arsenal and Spurs square off in the North London Derby and 2nd place Manchester United face off vs the 5th place Hammers in the late one.

Monday sees a close to the gameweek when Wolves takes on the 3 points out of their last 21 Liverpool. Geez!

The games in full…

  1. That’s me with 2 FTs and 2 M ITB.

I won’t be rushing with any early transfers, as money is not an issue for those moves, but I am thinking of Salah and DCL to Kane and Lingard. I will be with 9 players which is enough, I reckon.

Any better moves that I can do, or do I need an additional one?

  2. Looks like I’m free hitting

    • This was your plan all along, wasn’t it?

      • Sort of. Was always heading that direction even though I don’t think it looks great

        • Yeah, initially my plan was to FH in 29 but after putting a few drafts together, I just gave up. I don’t see that much potential, as the better teams are playing against each other. Same goes for the weaker ones. I could be terribly wrong (as I usually am) but just didn’t find any inspiration to go with it.

        • Yeah I looked at it the other way that the teams involved do not look the best so why am I bringing in those players before and after as I do not really want them. So I just FH them in for one week and hope for the best. There’s some players there that could haul. It’s not gone to plan as Leicester flopped after wildcard but looks well set up for weeks ahead. Plus a FH in a regular week you run the risk of scoring worse which is what happened with me last season. But also made a mistake on wildcard by going weak on bench I think but I’ve corrected that now and I can navigate GW33 well enough. I’ll lose Cancelo. Dias and Gundogan can be benched so just leaves Son and Kane to do something with

        • What does the FH team look like?

        • Article on it this week. Not far off your side though

  3. Leeds v Chelsea

  4. Good luck to all on this weekend. I don’t know what is happening with me but I seem to be doing well with my choices. Hope it keeps up to end of season. Mostly paying attention to what the top managers are doing & also my own gut. Took Salah out but want him back soon. The thing is who goes out?

    • I’m glad it’s going well for you, mosc! With Salah, there’s plenty of time to go until he plays again after this GW (the international break’s coming up).

See who’s fit after the international break and reassess then, I think smile .

  5. Bamford off injured??

    • Yes looks like a dead leg

      • He was subbed off because of a dead leg?!
Don’t you dare mess up my BGW29 plans, Bamford!!!

        • Looked like it to me, find out more after the game I guess

        • Yeah he was hobbling. Result of a Rüdiger tackle. Hipefully hellbe ik, but keep an eye on updates.

        • Jeez, my fingers weren’t working very well then ^!

        • Are you shaking there LA? Seeing our BGW29 plans fall to pieces before our very eyes can do that :close_tema:

        • Yeah looked a bit of a strange one but looked more than a dead leg

      • At least it’s a Leeds players and we know Bielsa will be upfront with the injury situation.

        • He said Strujik was definitely out this week so not necessarily

  6. Bamford out. Injury. If anyone has him
