Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28. Our gameweek kicks off in the East Midlands as Leicester look to bounce back from their mauling at Man City as they play host to Stoke. We then have five 3pm matches as Bournemouth host Newcastle, Brighton welcome Swansea, goals play hide and seek as Southampton go to Burnley, Salah and Firmino look to dismantle West Ham at Anfield and bottom bandits West Brom have a must-win match up with Huddersfield. The evening fare takes us down to Watford as thousands of angry FPL managers kick their TV’s in anger as Walcott misses chance after chance for the Toffees.

Sunday sees Arsenal meet Man City in the League Cup final, but before that The Senile One meets The Fixer as Man United ‘welcome’ Chelsea to Old Trafford.

Monday Night Football sees a London derby as Palace host Spurs. And it doesn’t finish there as Arsenal and Man City play their rearranged match on Thursday evening.

  1. Well Deulofeu was a fully wasted transfer 😀

    • Everton to Barca to Watford? should give you a clue as to his value.

      • Bayern to Inter to Stoke should have looked much more appealing 😉

    • He looked by far their best player but now injured

      • Yeah do not want to have to waste another transfer replacing him now.

        I hate cheap starting midfielders and have owned 4 this season:

        Ramsey – 2 points and injured in first game
        Richarlison – 2 assists in 2 games, then injured
        Arnie, 2 goals and an assist in 3 games, then injured
        Deulofeu – 3 points and injured in first game.

        I despair

    Got 33 here so fairly content with that being just 1 behind the curve given the 77% Capo stat and Kane yet to go with mine.

    How have we all fared?

    • 52 here, including 8 from that man Mariappa who’ll come off the bench for Gomez. I have no City cover atm but those 8 will surely contain any rank drops come thursday. Kane and Alexis to play.

        Just realised I have Mariappa buried on the bench! The Alonso irony continues as I now don’t want him to play having bought him 3 weeks ago and not having seen a minute from him since. And yet he will.

        • It was just a general curse at realising I’d benched Mariappa! I was pretty sure that one would have a few goals in it either way, I obviously forgot how poor we are away from home!

    • Nice one guys. I”m on 41-4. Took a hit for vDijk and Shaqiri (Ramsey and Jones out).

      With Ota, Sterling, Kun, Lingard and Kane left to play. If one doesn’t make it I will get 8 points from first on bench Mariappa. laugh

    • 34 for me so far – got Kane and hopefully Son, Sterling and Aguero to go. Quite the unremarkable gameweek so far for me! Only dropped 2k places and so it’s still not impossible to get an overall rank green arrow depending how tomorrow and Thursday go. Fingers crossed!

    • 41 +2 points from Adrian coming off the bench ( i know my Goalies suck) with Azpilicueta, Otamendi, Sterling and Kane left .
      Got Mkhitaryan first on my bench so he will replace Gomez

  4. So Dunk hit the bar, was minutes away from a clean sheet but somehow managed to get zero points with an own goal.

  5. So is it GW31 where all the fun starts a load of blanks? Then GW34 where there will be a double? So you have to wildcard for GW32 or GW33 if you still have it? Maybe for GW32 as team will potentially suck and it’s international break anyway. Is this correct?

    • Yes that pretty much sums it up. Maybe free hit chip gw 35 if you still have it
