Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 29. Our game-week kicks off Saturday lunchtime with Bournemouth undoubtedly going to Anfield confident of a victory following their battling draw with Chelsea and Liverpool’s shocker at Watford. And Chelsea…

Five 3pm matches follow as resurgent West Ham go to the Emirates, GW28 victors Palace and Watford battle it out at Selhurst Park, Sheffield United welcome Norwich, Newcastle take the long trip to Southampton and Wolves host Brighton.

The evening kick off sees Burnley welcoming Spurs to Turf Moor.

Sunday brings us what we hope is two goal ridden matches – first up Ancelotti returns to Chelsea with his Everton lads before the Manc derby takes place at Old Trafford.

Our game-week continues on Monday this week as Leicester aim to return to winning ways as they host a Villa side who are now just concentrating on the league. Or at least just trying to stay in it…

And then we extend further as Arsenal go to Man City to complete their ‘DGW’ on Wednesday.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. On 48 points with 4 more players left to play. How is everyone else doing?

    • Nice one. Who you got left? I’m on 53 with two left. KdB technically two times but I’d be stunned if he played in both.

      • Oooh I did enter the top 100k again. Sort of took a risk by going for Doherty over Pea, but it worked out so far.

      • Bruno, KdB, DCL and Soyuncu left to play. I’ll be happy if I get 1 game out of KdB. My Jota cappo punt backfired. Had the C on Salah all week and changed it at the last minute, ah well.

        • Yeah, think I saw that earlier today. Was unclear why you did that. It could work out but these type of players usually have a strong short form… Than they blank for weeks.

        • Lesson learnt 😉

        • Yeah, Wolves also created nothing without Traore… So my guess is he starts the next games. Definitely not dropping him.

    • 45 with bonuses for Mane, Salah, McCarthy, and 2 to play.

    • 32, with ‘technically’ 8 left. Plus The Lord, perhaps….

      • You benched the Lord? Omg. Blasphemy.

        • Considering he’s been dropped his points are pretty lucky

        • Just checked. It just happened two times that aurier was brought in last minute… Though all the other games he pretty much started..
So it is hard to tell. It’s a tight one. Really tight.

        • Dropped? He started today, Smash. And even from the bench he often was a supersub… And man… Does the rooster need one of his chick’s to do the cockfighting for him. :big_boss: :smoke:

        • I consider you one of my chicks (bitches) Raz, if that helps :girl_pinkglassesf:

        • Haha. It helps Init.

        • But here is an honest example of the chick beating the rooster each and every time. :hippo:

      • 32 here too with KDB, Fernandes, Perez, DCL & Soy left.

        Red arrow incoming this week!

      • Could turn out v well, you have Aurier as a starter so hoping he doesn’t come on i’m guessing?

    • 40 with technically 6 to play.

    • On 20 points. Who the hell is getting ye all these points lads?

    • 55 after bonus with KDB, DCL and PEA game 2 to go.

    • 53 after bonus -4 with KDB, Soy, Saka and Auba (C) to go

    • 37 points with Vardy, Soy, Maddison and DCL left to go.

No MCI or ARS players for me so things have started off quite nicely!

  2. Alli scores. Pope Cs down the drain.

  3. How on earth is everyone in the 40s and 50s? I’m stuck 26.
I’ve said all season I don’t trust arsenal and for some reason I caved. Lesson learnt, maybe.

    • 21 here beno.

Arsenal go again so you get a second shot

    • Let’s hope for a Pereira and Fernandes party Beno :bravo:
You have plenty to go, no need to stress smile

    • Thanks chaps

    • Yeah, not only did I get two Arsenal players who got nothing in the easy fixture of the double in for a hit, I’ve realized I’m stuck with Saka for GW30 as well…

    • It’s the score at the end of the GW that matters, beno1234.

      • That is true, of course… Auba could get something from City, and then there’s the Brighton game in GW30 too, we wouldn’t have had Auba for that if it wasn’t for the DGW29, so plenty of time still for Auba to deliver!

        • Yes, and Norwich after I think. Plenty of time and something could happen v City. I hope it does.

        • We all do!!!!

        • It’ll be fine, Zed. Often the first act of a DGW ends in managers drawing a nice warm bath and then opening up a vein. They should really wait.

  4. Disappointed with PEA blank but finished on 51

  5. Whast the view on whether KDB plays tomorrow?

    • Hey dreamers, I think he plays

    • Yeah I think he plays

    • Two goals, an assist, 3BPS with City still losing – and then caps it by successfully proposing to Fergie’s granddaughter.

  6. This is a great DGW!

    • It’s about as exciting as seeing Liverpool win the league

    • Barely begun.

      • Karen Carpenter springs to mind!

        • Why do stars fall down from the sky / everytime – you walk by?

        • The voice of an angel

        • Kate Bush > Karen Carpenter

        • She was a fan of The Mighty Reds and apparently (They Long to Be) Close to You was written about Tommy Smith* and was meant to be ironic.

I’m sure it would be about James Milner if it were written now.

          * I know it was written by Bacharach/David (who were also fans).

        • By chilling coincidence Zed I heard Babushka today for the first time in about 25 years and thought, what a deeply brill pop song.

        • I might pen some lyrics about James Milner myself!!

        • I do like Kate Bush.

The Chromatics do a sensational cover of Running Up That Hill

        • Top of the World

I’m looking forward to seeing his goal line heroics on MOTD.

Nice to see points needed now in single figures.

    • It is for Leno owners

      • All 2 of them! smile

      • It’s about time my keeper scored more points than Pope that’s all I have to say on keepers

        • The only shock I’ve received so far this GW is Pope not keeping a CS.

I’ll be ok, I guess, but there’s a pain inside me now that will never leave.

        • He had a chance to save a pen too, rip me to shreds!!!!

    • Brilliant score and resultant rank, Kop! :good2:

      • Cheers Swirly. I never actually check my points and rank until the GW is over. Yes, I’m a loser! smile

        • Best way really.

The ritual Sepukku that is performed after each missed big chance, let alone one day of the GW, can be quite distressing (and messy).
