Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 29. Our game-week kicks off Saturday lunchtime with Bournemouth undoubtedly going to Anfield confident of a victory following their battling draw with Chelsea and Liverpool’s shocker at Watford. And Chelsea…

Five 3pm matches follow as resurgent West Ham go to the Emirates, GW28 victors Palace and Watford battle it out at Selhurst Park, Sheffield United welcome Norwich, Newcastle take the long trip to Southampton and Wolves host Brighton.

The evening kick off sees Burnley welcoming Spurs to Turf Moor.

Sunday brings us what we hope is two goal ridden matches – first up Ancelotti returns to Chelsea with his Everton lads before the Manc derby takes place at Old Trafford.

Our game-week continues on Monday this week as Leicester aim to return to winning ways as they host a Villa side who are now just concentrating on the league. Or at least just trying to stay in it…

And then we extend further as Arsenal go to Man City to complete their ‘DGW’ on Wednesday.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. So, WC proving to be OKiesh as of now. 48 with 7(All Arsenal and City) left to play. Can’t say I’m very happy, but it’s much better than the previous 5-6 GWs. Hope to see an Otamendi goal+CS today..

    • A well-played (or lucky, depending on how one views that sort of thing) WC should be judged over the weeks that follow, I think, rather than the immediate week in which it’s played. It’s unusual to see even one fresh player in one’s side perform well, immediately, let-alone a complete change in personnel. Your big bonus yesterday was Leno. And your GW is barely half-way through, given the volume of players and points still to come. I can’t imagine you won’t see a fairly significant green arrow this week.

Your challenge I suppose is after GW31 getting the side lined up for 37 (presumably you will FH in 34). But you are sat in a very strong position.

      • Cheers Kralin. It seems to be working right now. Usually your wc team performs worse than your pre-wildcard team. I like the fact that I won’t have to take any hits now for the blank.
And yes, Leno is a saviour. :good:

    • Not sure why you ain’t happy

      • Smash, i didn’t say I’m unhappy. I just mentioned I am not “very” happy. i would’ve been over the moon if Salah had scored that second goal as well. And Mane kept quiet.

  2. Got 2ft’s and nada itb… But 11,8 to spend once these fellas are sold.

Unfortunely i’m 0,1 short of Doherty and lamela.

Any suggestions? Has to be players who plays in gw31….

  3. My choice would be Bergwijn & Taylor

    • If you really want Doherty then Doucoure would enable him

  4. Good morning guys. So got 58 points with DCL & KDB (hope he plays). If I don’t FH gw31 will end up with -12hit. Question is will this be worth it in terms of the DGW games to come ?? & do you guys think there will be 2 DGWs ???

    Thanks guys

    • Yeah I think there will be two doubles. As for free hit I’m not sure you need to but can see why people would decide to use it there is no right/wrong answer. You already have all the main players except Jimenez. I’m not sure the fringe players around that make up enough points to justify free hit. 3 Wolves and 3 Liverpool stand out for me. Other fixtures are not much to get excited about

      • Plan for GW31 ?? Just to have 11 complete players

        • Why do you have to have 11 players?

You’re hitting to bring in defenders & attackers from both Burnley & Watford who play each other.

        • So you will just be free hitting for a few Burnley and Watford players that could easily finish 1-1 for example as that will be a tight game

    • There should be at least 2 DGW, 34 and 37. However 34 may be a mainly mid and lower table teams, depending how the cup goes.

    • Looking at your current team I would neither FH nor take a -12 for GW31. 2FT’s and a -4 will get you to 9 players.

      • I agree with Kop. Yeah I’ve got 5 currently and I think 8 with a -4 might be enough.

        • That’s reassuring Smash, I was just looking at 31 and I have 5 at the moment, same as you, who are the other 3 you are going for? I was thinking Pope and Doherty.

      • That’s right kop. That might a safer & logical option. Hopefully greed don’t enslave me, collect -12 & gw31 ends up giving me the lowest point this season. But sure it’s all a gamble :good:

  5. My plan is to save my transfer this week. Then I’m looking at three transfers to get me 8 players for the double to save my free hit chip. I’m going to want the players with the biggest upside. So my thoughts are something along the lines of Wood, Doherty and Alli in for Auba, Saka and either Soyuncu or Egan depending on prices. I have the wildcard so i may use that shortly after as I’m going to want rid of a lot of players.

  6. Morning all,

Any thoughts on the below moves welcome.

    Vardy & Grealish to:

    1) Jiménez & Bergwijn (Go without a keeper for BGW31)

    2) Jota & Alli (this one allows Pope to come in for Button)

    Preference or better ideas?

    • I’d be tempted by #2. Spurs are rubbish but Alli being on penalties is certainly a plus. Obviously it allows you get another player as well

    • Think I prefer 2. It’s looking like most stuff is going through Alli currently

    • Cheers lads

    • yeah. option 2 foe me too
