Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.
Well looky here, we start on a Friday again. This time it is Aston Villa playing host to barely scoring Everton, but not to worry Toffee fans, nothing can fix an attack faster than a game vs the Villains.

Saturday brings us six fixtures. They kick-off with a lunch time meeting between Pukki mania and a team that gave Hazard’s number 10 to Willian. After that there is four 3pm games. Brighton vs Southampton is accompanied by Man United against Palace, the surprising Sheffield, match-up versus the Ayoze Perez led Leicester and Watford tangle with West Ham. The day is capped with the best game on paper when first place Liverpool plays first place Arsenal.

Sunday has three more fixtures in store for us. The early game sees Bournemouth get pummeled by City in a game that could see The Cherries 25th choice keeper Aaron Ramsdale get rammed up the…. The latter two games has Spurs take apart Toon and Wolves fight it out with Burnley.

The games in full…

  1. Happy chappy here tonight with 37 points
Pope / KDB / Sterling / (c) Kane still to play.
Still early days but with 1ft this week should I swap Pope to Heaton to avoid Liverpool?

    • No, that’s the last thing I’d do. He’ll get loads of save points v Liverpool and then check Burnley’s fixtures after that game.

      • Was gunna swap him back for Burnley’s nice fixtures
Good point on the save points tho
        didn’t think of that tbh.
        Thx

      • How’s your gwk going so far?

        • He’s usually very vague about it… Let’s see what he answers now…

        • How well you know me, Zed.

My team – which is linked – is in a death-spiral. Worst start I’ve made for many years.

        • Oh dear, sorry to hear that K! Well, luckily it’s just been 2 and half weeks now (hope you’re loaded on the City front), plenty of time to make a u-turn still! It’s a marathon, although I just learned that the world record in a marathon equals running every 100m of the marathon in 17 seconds… Only it’s 420 times in a row, with no recovery in betweem… Quite an accomplishment, perhaps we all are not meant for running…

        • It’s no problem at all. I’m not in the least bit bothered. I’m down in the gutter, looking at the stars.

I had a pretty dire start the year people either went with Lukaku or Kane to start with – I went with Kane and Lukaku was knocking them in a little like Pukki is now. It all settled down, as these things often do.

        • Yes, they will… They always will! Settle down that is…

        • Kralin
Yea I feel your pain, team needs a little surgery..
Looking on the positives you’ve got Sterling & KDB
          to play

        • The important thing is not to panic, just stick to the basics and be patient. I’m relatively happy with the team, to the extent that wildcarding didn’t seem necessary last week (or this, come to think of it).

        • I just had a sneak peek and indeed you’re on a heavy load of City triple up, which is great, still gameweek could still turn into a giant oktoberfest, just make sure to keep your Liederhosen ready tomorrow!

        • I think just equalling or being ahead of the average score would do for now.

    • No

    • Nah – think you need to roll with it

    • Nah

  2. Didnt realise Van Dijk was so high

    • I did after he scored in week one and I did not own him

  3. No love for Haller? Too punty? Decent stats for Eintracht and now this brace with Norwich next!

    • Yeah why not? The only problem for me would be his price, a 7.4m doesn’t fir my team structure…. But he’s got amazing fixture until he plays Spurs in GW13!

    • Yep. Tempted to take a -4 (Perez and King to Mount and Haller)

    • One of the 4 transfers I have in mind
West Ham got good games as well.
      Very tempting

    • I almost got him for Auba this week:/

    • Nice feedback lads. Thx.

    • Think he looks good. West Ham always score goals with him being most likely. Price point is not ideal which is only downside

    • I think I was saying to people ‘we need to see a bit more’. Well, we have. He’s on a slightly abstract shortlist I have to (possibly) replace Wilson.

      • Kralin
        What’s your team plans ?
Had a quick look at your team.
        Your mids are awesome,
Your defence might need a trim to boost your attack.
Wilson may come good but he seems a little pricey for a Bournemouth player?
Jota decent player but could be rotated with wolves having 3 strikers now?
Point is I think you need a big hitter upfront with a nailed little un… ie Pukki?

        • Even maybe lose Martial to say Mount..theres 2m towards Wilson pot?

        • I tend to roll transfers every other week as I’ve found that often the best move is not to move at all. Having said that, Wilson is looking vulnerable and if Martial* is not injured then he may well be spending his last GW in my side, for now anyway.

I started the season with Wilson and Fraser as it seemed ok in theory with their fixtures; both were essentially placeholders. I was going to ditch Wilson last week – for Ings – but decided to go for Martial as well as KdB so needed to address the midfield instead; I thinned the defence down then (Robbo was thrown over) to enable this.

I’m relatively happy with the defence, though would prefer Digne to Coleman.

          * If Martial is injured then yes, Mount is interesting me, assuming he’s not injured. Otherwise Martial’s got the gig for a few weeks.

  4. Has Kelly become a regular going forward? I see he is close to going up in price…

    • Not really he’s playing because Sakho and Tomkins are injured. He did play ahead of Dann today though

      • Thanks Smash. I guess he will play for a while still, but not indefinitely, so no point in bringing him in. Could do with another long term starting 4m def to enable buying another attacker. Already have Lundstram.
Do you have any idea when Ndombele is likely to play again?
        Cheers mate

        • For Ndombele just wait until the Spurs’ press conference later in the week. If you really need to find out start hovering round Spurs’ website and see if they post any photos of him giving a cheerful victory-v sign (or the surly opposite).

  5. 33 with Kane(c), Sterling, Laporte and Pope left to play. Only thing I want today is Laporte assist/goal.City CS would make no big difference in my ML as almost all have atleast one of the City defs. Kane giving around same return as Salah would be fine as well. Lastly, Sterling if limited to one goal shall be great as well.

    • I want to see the oddest game ever today. A sterling hatty and city to lose 4-3

  6. Is Mount the real deal?

    • Is he nailed when CHO/RLC are back though?

    • You’d think so, at least for the foreseeable future.

      • Thanks. I didn’t get to see the match. Chelsea have good fixtures. Him Barnes and Pukki free up a lot of cash
