Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.
Well looky here, we start on a Friday again. This time it is Aston Villa playing host to barely scoring Everton, but not to worry Toffee fans, nothing can fix an attack faster than a game vs the Villains.
Saturday brings us six fixtures. They kick-off with a lunch time meeting between Pukki mania and a team that gave Hazard’s number 10 to Willian. After that there is four 3pm games. Brighton vs Southampton is accompanied by Man United against Palace, the surprising Sheffield, match-up versus the Ayoze Perez led Leicester and Watford tangle with West Ham. The day is capped with the best game on paper when first place Liverpool plays first place Arsenal.
Sunday has three more fixtures in store for us. The early game sees Bournemouth get pummeled by City in a game that could see The Cherries 25th choice keeper Aaron Ramsdale get rammed up the…. The latter two games has Spurs take apart Toon and Wolves fight it out with Burnley.
The games in full…

“Up the Villa!” as Collymore would say.
A good win for them, I never gave them a chance in all honesty.
I HAD Heaton
I HAD McGinn
I have Bernard.
Good night
Sorry GP. I sympathise.
I had McGinn for a while in my WC team, but I went for Ceballos, and I kind of regret it.
But I don’t regret getting rid of Moise Kean and being Digne-less
I can’t believe that Everton will play this badly again though…
I think you’re correct there redmecca.
They did last week!
I am with Init.
Wildcards are for weeks in advance not the first game of the first week that you play it.
Ceballos for me too.
Cheers Frenchie.
One of the joys of wildcarding is seeing the players left behind comfortably out-perform their replacements. It’s as if they know.
Absolutely, can’t have everyone.
Still plenty to go Kralin.
I try to operate a strict don’t look back policy with wildcards and transfers. I’m sure all will resolve itself, over time if not this GW, but there will be some fun this weekend I’m sure.
That is one of the downsides of flushing the WC, you probably HAD everyone at some point
Usually yes. This time strangely not Zed.
I was set on my side all week. Knew who I wanted in and got them and kept them.
When I say I had Heaton and McGinn, that was pre-wildcard.
Ahh, I see! Well, as you said wildcards are for long-term points, not for Friday night kick-offs
Can’t believe you let go off McGinn. I mean he was your man.
Ceballos is my man!
Screw that little Scottish git.
:fuck:
That’s my boy! :good:
Haha. OK..
Thought that a lot tonight…..
:friends:
I didn’t see much of the game tonight. But from what I saw McGinn looks good. Everton didn’t look at all clinical.
No creativity whatsoever, don’t know where it will come… Too dependent on Siggy perhaps, when he isn’t on song they have nothing
Looked great, real quality player. Everton were fairly toothless again. Bit predictable if anything.
Will do my player ratings now then, wasn’t going to but I already mentioned 3 so may as well crack on;
Pickford. Woefully exposed twice.
Coleman. Looked exactly like I said last week; best years are behind him.
Digne. Still felt threatening on the ball.
Mina. Not as dominant as last week but didn’t have a forward to bully because Wesley payed on Keane deliberately.
Keane. Couldn’t deal with Wesley! He’s a bit of a Gary Cahill; when he’s facing the ball he’s fine, turn him around and he goes all Titanic.
Schneiderlin doesn’t help but you can’t blame him for that, he’s there to hold but he can’t link defence to midfield never mind defence to attack.
Gomes. As Carra said; I think that’s Gomes’ brother out there tonight.
Richarlison looks like he needs a pre-season.
Siggy. At least he touched the ball this week. Unfortunately he did even less with it.
Bernard. Bit like Gomes he was uncharacteristically off it tonight.
DCL. Do me a favour.
Subs:
Moise Kean just needs game time, conversely.
Wally. He was.
Iwobi. Looked ok actually.
Cheers Init. What did you think of Wesley?
He got MOTM on Sky but I wasn’t hugely fussed with him. Perhaps I just wasn’t particularly looking out for him but the fact that I didn’t notice him that much also says something.
Cheers Init.
As neutral watching the game I agree with pretty much all of that.
As a partnership I thought Keane and Mina looked at times to be playing in different postcodes tonight.
Gueye already seems a massive miss to that team.
Which bits don’t you agree with? I’m happy to fight you over them, as you know
OK I agree with ALL of that.
Sheesh.
Coward :wink2:
I’m up for a discussion! While I don’t disagree with your assessment I do think this is all down to Marco Silva. He’s clueless as a manager when he needs to attack with possession. He’s ok (with the right players) on the counter but not as the dominant team which Everton were almost all the game and especially after going down 1-0. Taking Siggy out and keeping the Gomes/Schneiderlin duo was a harrakiri move there.
Iwobi changed the pace of the game..His shot also hit the bar. He should start for Everton I think.
I am already regretting for not going with my original plan. Should have got rid of Digne for AWB instead of VVD. That must be rectified urgently tomorrow evening
I’d cool off on that one Ivan.
Digne looks a proper asset with good fixtures.
Maybe you are right. One last chance against Wolves at home.
They’ll most probably concede against Wolves. I hope not though..
Let him jump off that cliff. 😉
:excited:
Off Topic but Steve Dale has agreed a deal to sell Bury FC, for those interested.
Excellent
Very interested!
Still has to pass a fit and proper person test and be ratified by EFL.
Im really hoping for good news.
Well it can only get better, right? Tell me it can get better…
Yes. Absolutely! With 10 still to play, I’d be hopeful of at least another 20 points.
:laugh2:
It….. Will…..
