Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.

Manchester ‘the new Arsenal’ United try and do better this weekend in the first fixture of the gameweek when they face Brighton, that 4th place won’t win itself you know.

That is followed by Palace taking on Everton. A match up of two low to mid table two teams tied for top of the league on points.

West Brom will be looking to get their first point of the season when they play host to Chelsea. The Baggies forwards will be on high alert in case the Chelsea keeper is looking for his second assist of the season.

In the last game of the day Burnley will take on Southampton and their revolutionary tactics.

Sunday sees four more fixtures all nicely spread out. The early game pits a team headed back to the Championship in Sheffield United versus a team who just came from the Championship in Leeds, should be a fun watch. Leeds will do their best to make it a 4-3 game while The Blades do their best to make it a -4 to -3 game.

Spurs versus Toon is next on the Sunday menu where the on, off, back on Son train will look to reward his fickle owners and the loyalists who were with him from day one.

Man City then takes on first place Leicester in what should be an intriguing game.

The last of the bunch on this second day of action pits the mighty Hammers (heehee) vs Jimi and the Wolves.

Monday arrives with a two game meal and once again they’re conveniently spread out for us. The first is the bad appetizer in Fulham going up against Villa. But it’s ok, you went to the restaurant for the steak not the appetizer. And that steak will taste delicious as Liverpool sends Arsenal fans back to the cave where they belong as chants of ‘Arteta is not your saviour’ can be heard from the Kloppites.

The games in full…

    Is anyone sticking with Werner?

It might depend on how Ings looks – if he does well, and most significantly he will have played while others wont

he is dropping tonight it seems (Werner)

It crossed my mind. I was inpatient and removed Kane and Mane after GW 1, left badly burnt. He could finally burst next week at home against CP. At the same time he will drop big time tonight and DCL will go up.

I’m torn. If it wasn’t for his price plummeting I’d be inclined to hold for the next couple of games. Which probably answers my question as to what I should do. If I was to jump ship I’m liking Bobby Firmino as a little differential. Liverpool’s next four fixtures are very tasty.

      • Banjo, if you already have DCL and Jimi then you can hold or have a punt with Bobby. That said, Ings is already in and if he gets another one he could be the next hot property.

Don’t have DCL, but do have Hamez as Everton cover. The other striker is Jimenez. Ings is a no go for me, so it’s double up with Everton and get DCL, take a punt on someone like Firmino, or hold and accept the loss in value.

Probably yes I already have Jimenez and DCL, so may well hold. Mitro and Bamford are possible options. Werner’s issue is he does not hog the scoring. If Fulham, Everton Southampton or Wolves score you can have a fair guess at who whilst with Chelsea it’s spread out and probably always will.

      Smash says:

As much as I’d like to get rid in anger it prob makes sense to hold unless you don’t have Jimenez. It’s who you are selling for Martial for example has looked worse. Ings has a great fixture next but then fixtures after are not fantastic. As for his position he played out wide because Ziyech and Pulisic were injured. He came close to scoring a couple of times today. The formation was all over the place at 3-0 it was just a mess so can’t really judge him on being deep. But yeah I get it, it’s really frustrating

      • Yes Smash, Martial is an issue. He has been awful and simply can’t see him improving in the next few fixtures including Spurs/Chelsea/ Arsenal and Everton. Most likely I will end up with a third hit for the season and do DCL and Jimenez for him and Werner, or just go for the first and stay with Werner. Hate doing the WC during the IB as another 3 millions will be doing it. Maybe will try to hold for another while.

I remember his goal from last season when he took it past two or three and slotted home. If he can find a run of games and form, as you suggest, he could be a tidy player for the saints.
