Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.

Manchester ‘the new Arsenal’ United try and do better this weekend in the first fixture of the gameweek when they face Brighton, that 4th place won’t win itself you know.

That is followed by Palace taking on Everton. A match up of two low to mid table two teams tied for top of the league on points.

West Brom will be looking to get their first point of the season when they play host to Chelsea. The Baggies forwards will be on high alert in case the Chelsea keeper is looking for his second assist of the season.

In the last game of the day Burnley will take on Southampton and their revolutionary tactics.

Sunday sees four more fixtures all nicely spread out. The early game pits a team headed back to the Championship in Sheffield United versus a team who just came from the Championship in Leeds, should be a fun watch. Leeds will do their best to make it a 4-3 game while The Blades do their best to make it a -4 to -3 game.

Spurs versus Toon is next on the Sunday menu where the on, off, back on Son train will look to reward his fickle owners and the loyalists who were with him from day one.

Man City then takes on first place Leicester in what should be an intriguing game.

The last of the bunch on this second day of action pits the mighty Hammers (heehee) vs Jimi and the Wolves.

Monday arrives with a two game meal and once again they’re conveniently spread out for us. The first is the bad appetizer in Fulham going up against Villa. But it’s ok, you went to the restaurant for the steak not the appetizer. And that steak will taste delicious as Liverpool sends Arsenal fans back to the cave where they belong as chants of ‘Arteta is not your saviour’ can be heard from the Kloppites.

The games in full…

Not a good start for my WC team, with cappo Werner, Rodriguez, and Zaha all blanking, and DCL (who most of my mini league rivals have) scoring. Still got some big hitters to play though

Werner owners, time to sell? Didn’t see much from him today which suggests he’s worth keeping over cheaper options who are scoring better. Will wait to see how all the options play this GW, but who do you think would be best to swap him out for? Could go for DCL, Jimenez, Ings, Vardy, Kane

Whoever I sold like McCarthy, KWP, Havertz – all scored something…..its like either you are faster than the train or, slower – matching the pace looks difficult. smile

Right, I took a deep breath and decided to wait for Monday night.
Very often these early rage moves are turning into a false economy. For the sake of losing 0.1 value you end up with some extra hits after God knows what might happen in the next six games.

It’s Saturday….if haven’t already, have a drink and make some rash, yet alcohol inspired moves! We all do it and it’s what makes it more entertaining (or depressing), besides at this stage losing 0.1 is essentially losing 0.5!
What moves you considering… do price drops give you breathing space till Monday?

      • RedKev, if you remember, I’ve never been the The Wolf of Wall Street and price fluctuations mean nothing to me. I would rather avoid unnecessary forced transfer than safe 0.1.
That said, I have Martial as well and that is a great matter of concern. Maybe on my fourth cocktail I will do something and brake my own rules smile

Ask yourself a question, is FPL about having fun or about winning MLs? If the answer is the former, come join me down at my cellar, if it’s the latter, hell or high water!

Hear Hear Ivan. Glad to hear these words from a fellow rager-yet-to-do-the-early-transfer manager.
Lost 0.2 mil not doing Werner to Jimi last night. Hopefully waiting till Monday helps.

Hey everyone hope having a better gw than me so far! I’ve got Werner & Martial upfront and with neither racking up the points and on a likely close price drop I’m thinking of dropping one to Jiménez! Tbh I haven’t had chance to watch much of either …to those who have, which one would you get rid of?
Martial closest to drop and got 10bps to Werners 20 in 1st 2gws …fixtures are pretty equal….Martial to Jimmy?

      FplDoc789 says:

Based on last 3 GWs, I’d take out Martial. Based on the last GW alone, if Werner plays off the wings unlike in his first 2 games I’d hold onto Martial instead and change Werner. That’s assuming Tammy spearheads the attack hereafter.

I like the look of Townsend. Not many talking about him.

      Zed Leppelin says:

Yeah, could be a shrewd pick actually! Definitely better luck than Zaha imo, Zaha will get the yellows and loss the plot eventually, it’s just that the likes of Foden or Klich might be more popular at that price range at the moment, but yeah could be a great pick, he’s not a bad footballer!

    Mr Bean says:

GW1: Held my FT, stayed patient with Son and Ings through price drops

GW2: Only Auba to KDB, after all games finished, sticking patiently with Werner and Havertz, ignoring DCL, James, Podence price rises

GW3: Triple transfer for a -4 after only 4 games in the week played, with midweek games to come, to avoid Werner price drop and catch Jiminez/DCL price rises.

My patience lasted a whole two weeks this season, I’m proud.
