Just as we are getting into our straps and figuring out a few trends, we are as usual rudely interrupted once again by an International Break after GW3. That itself is a simple and compact 2 day affair, as a result;

12:30 Chelsea v Fulham (TNT Sports)
15:00 Manchester United v Burnley, Sunderland v Brentford, Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth and Wolves v Everton
17:30 Leeds United v Newcastle United (Sky Sports)

Sunday 31 August
14:00 Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester City (Sky Sports), Nottingham Forest v West Ham United (Sky Sports)
16:30 Liverpool v Arsenal (Sky Sports)
19:00 Aston Villa v Crystal Palace (Sky Sports)

Blink and you’ll miss it. See you in two weeks or so……

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Do forwards get defensive contribution points as Joao Pedro got 10 and has no points?

I think it’s only defs and mids

      • Zack_353 says:

Any defender who reaches an accumulative total of 10 or more clearances, blocks, interceptions (CBI), and tackles in a single match will earn two points. Any midfielder or forward who reaches an accumulative total of 12 or more clearances, blocks, interceptions (CBI), tackles, and recoveries will earn two points.

        • Reg83 says:

Yes but this rule makes less sense. Fwds and mids arent expected to make lot of defensive contributions compared to defenders. But i can understand the rule. To make center backs like tarkowski, vvd, etc. and pure defensive mids like caicedo more attractive to buy.

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

Surely that’s why forwards cost more though – they can score more points. If defenders can get close in points then everyone will shift to 5 at the back

    Kruzcampo says:

Yes ,it seems stupid to expect mids and forwards to get more defensive contributions than defenders so they should have a lower target than defenders.

Me too – same situation. But the fact that I bought and captained Richarlison far outweighs that specific error! 😉 Oh well, maybe that’s why I saw the cellar fly past, as the FPL elevator took me down! Them’s the breaks!
